In The Land Of Costra. In The Kingdom of Ibisa, there lived A Mighty King. King Bankole the III. He was famous for his victory in the battle of the skull seven years ago. The battle was so intense that even after seven years, the kingdom has been unable to fix all the damages incurred in the battle.
The king had A pretty daughter. Anna A beautiful lady with an angelic smile. Her skin glowed like the sun. Her eyes dazzled like the bright stars. She was indeed an epitome of beauty.
So many men had come for her hand in marriage. Great men of timber and caliber. Kings and Princes of reputable kingdoms. But she kept turning them all down. Her heart belonged to another, Jimmy her secret lover. Jimmy was A knight in the King's army. She always sneaked out to meet her lover at the abandoned section of the royal castle destroyed during the battle of skulls.
"Anna I can't keep meeting you this way.
I want to hold your hands in public.
I want to Kiss you in the streets."
"Jimmy you know that can't happen.
My father will have your head the minute he finds out that we are together."
"I've had enough of this. I'll talk to your father about this. If I die I'll die fighting for your love."
Meanwhile the king was having a meeting with his cabinet members.
"I have summoned you all to deliberate about my successor and other pressing matters, As my reign as King is slowly coming to an end."
In the kingdom of Ibisa, it was a tradition for kings to rule the kingdom for seven years and step
down for a new successor.
"Sire it is due for the family of Ezenwata to provide a suitable heir to the throne."
One of the cabinet members said.
"I have always known the family of Ezenwata as a respectable family. Therefore they wouldn't have A problem providing an heir."
The king replied.
"Your highness, there's another issue that needs urgent attention. The Northern walls which were brought down during the Great Battle Needs To Be Rebuilt."
Another cabinet member suggested.
The king was silent for some time, murmured some words to himself then said.
"Is there really any need for rebuilding those walls?"
"Of course my Lord. Should there be another battle, our enemies would penetrate and invade us from the North."
Being his last year as King, he was more concerned with accumulating riches for himself and his generation. And he was almost sure that there wouldn't be any battle till the end of his reign.
"We would fix those walls, but not now."
"IF NOT NOW, THEN WHEN?"
"That Will Be All For Now. I want to be alone."
They all left. Few Hours later a guard came into the palace and said.
"Your royal highness. Sir Jimmy of your royal knighthood is here to see you."
"Ah a fine soldier that one. Send him in."
Jimmy entered and With a Bended knee and bowed head he spoke.
"Greetings My King. May your reign never end in shame."
"Rise My knight. To what do I owe your visit."
"My Lord! I come with a heavy heart, a troubled mind and a burden the weight of an elephant."
"I hope it is a burden I can help you lift."
"My Lord. There are very few things above your power. It is fully within your power to lift my burden, only if you deem me worthy."
"Sir jimmy, you speak in so many parables. Let the cat out of the bag already."
"My Lord...
Jimmy knew that what he was about to say was heavy. He couldn't look straight at the king. He lowered his head and continued.
"Sire...
He still felt that wasn't enough, he bended a knee and continued.
"Your Royal highness, I want to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage."
The king burst into a loud laughter.
"This must be the joke of the day. Please tell me you were sent to come and make me laugh a bit."
"Sire, In This moment I am as a dead man."
"Well You will be a dead man soon if you don't stop this nonsense and go back to your duty."
"Your highness, I didn't plan on living here without a positive reply."
"My reply is No!"
"IF NOT ME, THEN WHO?"
"You dare question your king?"
"I apologize my Lord!"
"Kings have been coming with thousands of chariots and gifts to ask for her hand, and you think she will accept you?"
"The princess is in love with me. We have been seeing each other for a long time now."
"Behind my back? Treason!! Guards."
The king stood up in anger. The guards rushed into the room.
"I'd have your head, but you are lucky I like you.
Guards take this man out of my kingdom.
You are hereby banished for committing treason."
Few months later...
It was the last day of king Bankole as the king of the Ibisa Kingdom. He was having a party in his ball room when the City Alarm Bell started to chyme. In that moment A guard entered screaming.
"WE ARE UNDER ATTACK FROM THE NORTHERN WALLS."
The party came to an abrupt end. Before the kingdom could assemble and get ready for battle, they were surrounded by their enemy. Their enemy had the upper hand, the battle was brutal with thousands of Ibisa knights dying by the sword.
At the End, King Bankole III Was Killed, The Princess Anna was captured as a wife for the king. The kingdom was burnt to ashes. The kingdom met Their Doom.
