ecoTrain Question Of The Week: Why do you think so many computer games are based on extreme violence? Do you think it is healthy or unhealthy? - Virtual violence and its implications in real life.

This is my second participation in this community @ecotrain, and the themes that have been developed and those that I have had the opportunity to participate seem incredible to me.

Although this is a somewhat unpleasant topic for me because I do not agree with them, so no more preamble.

On the internet, people spend their time mostly in games and pornography.

The essential problem of the game is that it makes evil to be seen as something normal, we get used to doing harm in a virtual way, familiarizing ourselves with the blood, so when wars do occur, we feel astonishment, unless we are present, of course.

Why do kids play? Children play because parents do not have time to be with them, so the game becomes a hobby in a refuge and if the parents do not offer another alternative, risk occurs in the child.

Games that involve violence is a way of accustoming people to the real violence that exists, the game in some way or another desensitizes or tends to see causing harm as normal or even seeing violence with a certain normality. For me that is the main problem of games, as a spectator of virtual games I can say in general that they have accustomed us to evil, losing our sensitivity, these virtual games make violence seem natural and that somehow dehumanizes us.

Games generate addiction and violence so that we question the violence in the bombers or personal attacks, the players end up seeing this violence as normal, being unable to stop or avoid future violence that may occur in their current life.

I am not a gamer, what I am explaining is taken from my experience as a mother of two children who liked virtual games in childhood with the difference that I offered them other alternatives and not only did they stay with games that were about violence.

But finally to essentially conclude the games are not bad are games and the game is an essential part of human nature, we are beings that play not only in childhood, all life, the game is entertainment, the pastime, is the playful activity of the human being, the game is an important part of the human being.
