For 6 months I have been going to the Desert Botanical Garden regularly. Now I want to share pictures of pieces in Chihuly in the Desert that I have taken at different times of day, through different seasons and light.

Dale Chihuly
Sol del Citron, 2014
Blown glass and steel
Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, Arizona
This is a very large piece. It is very similar to Summer Sun, 2010, which is 15½ x 13 x 13' and 4.7 x 3.96 x 3.96 meters. It is made up of 1,483 of glass pieces. I saw Summer sun in Tennessee and England respectively.

Sol del Citron, in Spanish, is Sol of the yellow citrus fruit.
The most interesting thing I noticed about this piece as I was going through the pictures all together is that yellow looks very different depending on what day and month I was taking the pictures.

It was so fun to see peoples reactions as they came up to this piece. It has such a wonderful desert backdrop and is stands out so much.
