In the last installment of the contest I didn't manage to participate, but for this week I was encouraged to bring a sculpture inspired by a very interesting character named Jared Scar.
It has an interesting story but it caught my attention because of his physique, a huge and robust character, a warrior with a club that certainly makes him look more threatening.
En la entrega pasada del concurso no logré participar, pero para esta semana me animé a traer una escultura inspirada en un personaje bastante interesante llamado Jared Scar.
Tiene una historia interesante pero me llamó la atención por su físico, un personaje enorme y robusto, un guerrero con un garrote que sin duda lo hace ver más amenazante.

I tried to make it as similar as possible, only a little thinner but just as threatening.
I kept the similarities in form and attire, but made it in 3D, in a three-dimensional form of the character made entirely by hand, in plasticine.
Traté de hacerlo lo más parecido posible, solo que un poco más delgado pero igual de amenazante.
Guardé las similitudes en la forma y el atuendo, pero hacerlo en 3D, en una forma tridimensional del personaje hecha completamente a mano, en plastilina.

Step by step
Before I start with the step by step, I will just mention the materials I used for this sculpture.
In this case I used wire for the skeleton, plus paper and tape to fill in the skeleton of the figure. I also used plasticine and some paints.
Below you can see how I created the skeleton and how I filled it with paper and tape.
Paso a paso
Antes de comenzar con el paso a paso, solo mencionaré los materiales que utilicé para esta escultura.
En este caso utilicé alambre para el esqueleto, además de papel y cinta adhesiva para rellenar el esqueleto de la figura. También usé plastilina y algunas pinturas.
A continuación pueden ver cómo creé el esqueleto y cómo lo rellené con papel y cinta.

For the body of the character, that is, his clothes and skin, I used this brown plasticine that you see below, in different scales of the same color.
Para el cuerpo del personaje, es decir, su ropa y piel, utilicé esta plastilina de color marrón que ven abajo, en distintas escalas del mismo color.
First I began to cover the lower part of the skeleton with the darkest brown plasticine, which has an almost purple color, but no, it is dark brown, very dark.
As you can see I made the pants by placing the plasticine, then I made the folds of the clothes with a knitting needle.
Primero comencé a cubrir la parte baja del esqueleto con la plastilina marrón más oscura, que tiene un color casi morado, pero no, es marrón oscuro, muy oscuro.
Como ven hice el pantalón colocando plastilina, luego hice los pliegues de la ropa con una aguja de tejer.

I made the boots of a brown color a little lighter, placing the edges of the boots of a brown color even lighter than the previous one.
With the darker brown I also stuffed the figurine even more, making his huge belly.
Le hice las botas de un color marrón un poco más claro, colocando los bordes de las botas de un color marrón aún más claro que el anterior.
Con el marrón más oscuro también rellené aún más a la figurita, haciendo su enorme panza.

After making the torso I started to prepare the head very similar to that of a hippopotamus.
Although Jared has a gray skin color, I made it in this same color to paint it later, so it doesn't matter too much the color of the plasticine at this point.
I made the base shapes and also placed the eyes in a bright yellow color. I also cut the mouth area to mold it later.
Después de hacer el torso comencé a preparar la cabeza muy parecida a la de un hipopótamo.
Aunque Jared tiene una piel de color gris, la hice de este mismo color para luego pintarla, por eso no importa demasiado el color de la plastilina en este punto.
Hice las formas bases y también coloqué los ojos de un color amarillo intenso. También le corté el área de la boca para moldearla más adelante.

I made the club with blue plasticine. I planned to paint it silver, so it doesn't matter what base color is used.
I also filled in the arms and made the hands finger by finger, using the needle to cut the parts to cover all areas of the body.
El garrote lo hice con plastilina azul. Planeaba hacerlo pintado de color plateado así que no importa el color base que se use.
También le rellené los brazos y le hice las manos dedo por dedo, usando la aguja para cortar las partes y cubrir así toda las áreas del cuerpo.
I made the belt in the same color as the card, a slightly opaque shade of crimson. I also made the buckle in white, then I will paint it silver.
El cinturón lo hice del mismo color que la carta, una tonalidad carmesí un poco opaca. También le hice la hebilla de color blanca, después la pintaré de plateado.

For the forearms I used a red plasticine for the left arm, which is a kind of cloth strips that cover it.
For the left arm I used brown plasticine to simulate some protective plates on this arm, as you can see in the images below:
Para los antebrazos usé una plastilina roja para el brazo izquierdo, que es una suerte de tiras de tela que lo cubren.
Para el brazo izquierdo usé plastilina marrón para simular unas placas protectoras que tiene en este brazo, tal como lo pueden ver en las imágenes de abajo:

Well, the figure is ready so far, except for other details. But at this point you have to start painting before adding the other details.
The first thing I started painting with was the gray color of Jared's skin.
Bien, lista la figura hasta ahora, salvo otros detalles. Pero en este punto se debe comenzar a pintar antes de agregar los otros detalles.
Lo primero con lo que empecé a pintar fue con el color gris de la piel de Jared.
I also took a piece of purple plasticine to make the character's cape. I flattened this layer against a piece of fabric to give it that texture that the fabric had.
También tomé un trozo de plastilina morada para hacer la capa del personaje. Esta capa la aplasté contra un trozo de tela para darle esa textura que tenía la tela.
After painting and it dried, I put the layer on the character. I used glue to fix the cape to the body of the character.
Después de pintar y que esta se secó, le coloqué la capa al personaje. Me ayudé con pegamento para fijar bien la capa al cuerpo del personaje.
On the back of the cape I tried to break the edges to give the effect of a torn cape. I also made some folds to simulate wind.
En la parte trasera de la capa traté de romper los bordes para dar ese efecto parecido al de una capa rasgada. También le hice algunos dobleces para simular viento.
I placed other details such as buttons and badges on the character's chest, as well as the fangs and the red of the mouth, which I had not placed before.
Coloqué otros detalles como botones y placas en el pecho del personaje, además de los colmillos y el rojo de la boca, que no lo había colocado antes.
To the club I added the pile of nails it has. As I said, it doesn't matter what colors of plasticine I use at this point for elements like the club, as I plan to paint it gold.
Al garrote le agregué el montón de clavos que tiene. Como les dije, no importa los colores de plastilina que use en este punto para elementos como el garrote, pues planeo pintarlo de dorado.
Finally, after adding a shoulder pad and finishing all the nails on the club, I painted it silver and added both gold and silver to some areas of the figure, such as buttons, buckles and some parts of the boots.
Finalmente, tras agregar una hombrera y terminar todos los clavos del garrote, lo pinté de plateado y agregué tanto dorado como plateadp a algunas áreas de la figura, como botones, hebillas y en unas partes de las botas.
This way the figure was finished. Below you can see a series of photographs of the final result:
