Holo everyone!
In this post today we wanted to showcase the starter creatures as Radiant and HoloMax! First, let's get into what these names mean.
In the world of Holozing, certain creatures have mutated to look slightly different from each other. Mutations are common in life even if they're rare and rare they will be here as well. Mutations, or Radiant as we call them, will be colorized differently from the regular creatures. Radiant creatures will however not affect a creature's stats at all and be purely cosmetic.
The starter creatures will have slightly higher odds of being Radiant as the only way to get them will be from opening Alpha Vials, the same thing will apply to Beta starter creatures but the same odds of Radiant for Alpha in the Beta Vials will be lower. Outside of that, in the wild, capturable creatures will have lower odds of being Radiant. When you encounter them, you'll wanna try your hardest to capture them and it'll be made clear that they're Radiant based on the looks and glow.
When it comes to HoloMax however, this will all depend on a creature's stats. As we've mentioned, the Alpha Vials will have slightly higher odds of a starter creature having good stats compared to getting an Alpha starter creature in Beta Vials, which will in and of itself have a lower drop rate since we'll also introduce Beta Starter creatures then. This means that, if your creature has decent stats, say, average epic and above, it can be trained to get to max stats and receive the Holo-hue skin for obtaining max stats.
For collectors, it'll be quite a challenge not just to find all the Radiant creatures for a Radiant Collection, but to also have Radiant creatures of Holomax at max level. On top of it all, some may want them in certain cards such as the alpha card design which is yet to be revealed and even in a certain foil.
Let's take a look at the Radiant and Holomax creatures and how they differ from the regular skin.
As you can tell, getting some of these variants is going to be quite difficult and rare. If getting a Radiant Infurno is only 1/500 odds, and getting an Infurno at lvl 1 as HoloMax is 1/1000 odds, then you only have a 0.002% chance of getting a Radiant HoloMax Infurno at lvl 1. Of course those odds increase as you level the Radiant Infurno up and its stats are decent to begin with. We will most likely see many regular Infurno's, quite a few HoloMax's and very few Radiant ones.
Now let's get into Infurno's evolution; Infurnal.
If your Infurno is Radiant and HoloMax he will of course keep those traits when evolving into Infurnal. These traits will also work within the game of course as 3d.
Alright, less text now, let's get through the rest of the starters and their evolutions as Radiant, HoloMax and Radiant HoloMax.
Wrackoo evolves into Wrackdoom!
Walle evolves into Waller!
Now since we have Zappity still in progress to be made into HoloMax and Radiant, we'll instead showcase Chirple and Chirpily.
Since capturing creatures will be a big part of the PvE aspect of the game and not always easy we figured letting players know when they've encountered a max stat creature is a must. So players should always pay close attention to what they're currently fighting against, of course the stats and how close they may be to HoloMax won't be given away so players will have to fight their way through to figure out if it's worth capturing a creature or just defeating it for xp. Radiant creatures will also be shown of course but they'll almost always be worth capturing even if their stats seem to be low based on the fight as they'll be even rarer for capturable creatures compared to the alpha starters.
Alright, that's as far as we've come for now with the HoloMax and Radiant looks of our creatures.
Maybe that'll inspire some of our amazing artists to generate more fanart as well!
Upcoming reveals will be of Miu, Miumiu and Miumiumiu and of course Zappity and potentially a few new ones as well!
We currently have 19 total creatures created for 2d (evolutions included) and 8 of them created for 3d. 6 of the 2d creatures are yet to be revealed so that's something to look forward to in our next posts, and of course also the announcement and date of our starter sale!
