Hello everyone! After an intense month of development, I am pleased to officially announce the launch of Hive NFTs, a custom marketplace for you to buy, sell and manage the NFTs of your favorite games from the network.
Almost a year ago, I developed a tool called Rising Star Utils, which aimed to filter the best offers for buying cards and track Rising Star stats. Over time, many Rising Star users asked me for new features: they wanted to be able to manage their cards, view other users' collections, and transfer and list their cards. The idea arose to integrate new games from the Hive Engine chain, giving users the ability to manage their collections, sell, and buy NFTs from different games, all from a single page, with custom filters. The first games for the official launch are: Rising Star (@risingstargame) and Big Dog Bone (@bigdogbone). The problem was that the Rising Star Utils front-end was built solely with HTML, CSS, and JS without using any frameworks, which significantly limited my ability to create a modern, intuitive, and scalable design. That's why, for this new phase, I decided to use Next.js, a React-based framework that allows for building faster and more scalable web applications. I also incorporated Tailwind CSS to achieve a modern, responsive interface and provide a better user experience. This is how Hive NFTs was born, with the aim of meeting several user needs:- Buy NFTs from your favorite games on the Hive blockchain in a fully customized marketplace.
- Manage your NFT collection from any game, using a wide range of game-specific filters to find exactly what you're looking for.
- Select from multiple Hive Engine nodes to improve customer response speed.
- Easily explore other users' collections.
- Transfer and list NFTs in bulk, with the ability to add up to 300 cards to your cart in just a few clicks.
- Access your market history, viewing your latest purchases and sales in your favorite game.
- Enjoy a streamlined, fast, and modern user experience.
This was just a brief overview of the features the site offers, but I'd like to go a little deeper. To start, I'll talk about the feature that gave rise to the site: managing your collection.
It features filters by class, rarity, name, and stats, as well as the ability to sort by quantity and name.
You'll be able to send MULTIPLE cards to your cart very easily: by clicking on the NFT image and selecting the quantity you want to send.
Once in the cart, we can decide whether to transfer or list our NFTs on the marketplace, up to a maximum of 300 per transaction.
If you want to sell, for now, it's only possible to set a single price for all NFTs or set a unit price for each NFT. In the future, an option to list the cheapest card based on the market price will be implemented.
The next feature is quite simple: My Sales. From here, you can cancel the NFTs you have listed on the marketplace, whether they're Rising Star or Big Dog Bone.
We continue with the shopping section, where we can access almost the same filters as in my collection and easily purchase what you're looking for.
In each section of each game, we'll also find the market history: where we can see the purchases and sales we made in that game's contract.
The last feature I added is that if we go to Settings and tap on our avatar, we'll be able to select the node we want to use.
In May, I'll be integrating the Crypto-Shots game into the site, which I've already been in contact with the team about. In the long term, I plan to add games that don't use Hive-Engine contracts.
I arranged for a domain name and hosted the site a few days before the official launch, allowing several Rising Star and Big Dog Bone players to test and playtest the platform early. That doesn't mean some bugs won't happen. If you experience any issues with the site, please feel free to report them in the Discord.
