These photo were taken when I was visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia, Argentina a couple of years ago. This glacier is part of what is called the Southern Patagonian Icefield. This icefield is the third largest mass of ice in the world. Only Antartica and Greenland are larger. But it's the largest continental, non polar ice cap. This is a colossal field of ice messuring 400 km. in lenght and 80 km. wide. Another exceptional fact (at least when I was there in 2019) is that this glacier is still growing, while most glaciers are melting. This makes Perito Moreno an exception.
