These photos were taken in a small village named Scalloway, located on the main island in Shetland, Scotland. But this small place was once the capital of the Shetlands isles up until 1708, when it was moved to Lerwick. It was important during WWII as it was the headquarter for what was called The Shetland Bus – this was organized traffic with weapons, equipment etc. across the North Sea to Shetland.
