One of Hungary's most famous wines can be found the Tokaj Wine Region. This region has several small villages and town and all of them have wineries. The landscape around these villages are dominated by fields of grapes. I was in Tokaj last september. Besides tasting wine at the local wineries, we also got a chance to walk the slopes, getting a close look at the grapes and the harvesting prosess. The winemaking of this region dates back a thousand years. The most famous wine is the sweet wine the Tokaj Aszú – this wine is called the Wine of Kings because is was drunk by kings, like the Louis XV of France who called the wine Rex Vinorum or the Wine of Kings / King of Wines.
