It is quite interesting to locate this Community Hive meetups while exploring Communities as a newbie. As a maketer, i love Promotion, training, meetups and anything that has to do with introducing what i Know or have to others. I read some post of trainings and meetups here and it was so interesting. I have found a home for Promoting Hive here.
Before i continue let me introduce myself to @hivemeetups Community. My names are Blessing Uzomah known as @ijelady on Hive. I joined hive on October 2022. This is my first time of writing here.
Hive meetup
I attended the first meetup with fellow Hiveians. The purpose of of this meetup was for us to learn more about Hive. All of us in the pictures above are newbies and those who came to know what hive is. They are yet to join us. As newbie,I took the initiative to call for the meetup so that we all can learn from each other.
First thing I did was to teach what hive is in my own little way because I have a lot to learn about Hive.next was how to sign up and write Introduction post. Honestly it was not easy for us but many of us were able to sign up and write Introduction post.
There is one mistake i made which i shared with them that is not to use introduceyourself tag 2 times on hive. You know when you are new in a system, you learn from your mistake. And the best thing to do is to help others not to repeat that same mistake. I shared what i learned from this post made by OCD, a guide line for newbies It was made 8 months ago but to us, it is like it was written that day because of the information contained in that post. Thank you @ocd for this wonderful post.
During the meet up, @chichieze helped us to register on esency and download the app, she helped us to learn how to make comment, join Communities, get point, make post using esency. It was really great and from that day, i have been trying using esency in commenting but still finding difficult to make a post using esency. I know with time i will know how to do it. Infact knowing Hive blockchain is one of the best opportunity i grabbed this year 2022. I am really greatful to God who made it possible.
I also encourage everyone one of us to learn very fast by reading post made in different Community and i am doing that already so as to learn. I told them that original post is the key while comment is the king. Since Hive blockchain is a social media platform, we can only socialize by reading, commenting, upvoting and to follow others.
I had the privilege to explain hive to the lady in the middle. She was so interested to join but her phone was not all that good so i encouraged her to get a good smartphone so that she will not find it difficult to write on Hive. Associating with Hive big family is great opportunity to all of us. I am happy to be here and I am planning how to start Promoting hive to others in different ways soon. I am open to correction please. Anything you know that will help me understand Hive blockchain better and Hive Meetup Community better, please feel free to share with me.
