MONOMAD - A face of stone

DSC_18.jpg

The photo was taken at the Bayon Temple in Cambodia. This is one of the temples in the ancient Khmer capital of Angkor. Bayon was built as a Buddhist temple in the late 1100s / early 1200s. It's quite unique. Filled with corridors, stairs and 54 Gothic towers. These towers have 216 huge smiling faces.
