The photo was taken at sunrise in Varanasi, India from a boat on river Ganges. Varanasi is the city of Lord Shiva and it's famous as one of the seven most important cities of Hinduism and an important pilgrimage destination. River Ganges is a river of salvation and having a bath here erases bad karma. Along the ban there are so many bathing places. From a boat we witnessed some of the most intimate rituals that relate to life and death are performed in full public by the city's "ghats".
