Initiative: Me After Covid-19 [ESP-ENG]

Hello Hivers, today I am pleased to participate in this initiative of my friend @mayvil in which she proposes us to relate our experiences after covid-19. After the pandemic took us by surprise, locking the whole world in their homes to prevent a possible contagion, how skeptical many of us were about this coronavirus and that after a while many of us got infected and others unfortunately did not survive this silent killer.

Last year was especially difficult, the first wave of infections in my region was recorded between July - August 2020, the first person to get sick was my older brother who almost died from covid-19. Many people did not suffer the same fate, in my house we all fell ill but the disease would be truly terrifying in December 2020.

The second wave of contagions began in early December and ended in January 2021, again everyone in my house got sick but the main ones affected were my dad and my grandmother, thank God we all managed to survive the second onslaught of the coronavirus. But the Christmas season was gray, without hallacas and without money because the covid-19 is a disease with a high economic cost more evident in Venezuela. However, as a survivor almost about to receive the first dose of the vaccine I have a lot to tell and this initiative is perfect to do it, I also want to invite my friends @sara-escribe and @universoperdido to join it.

Hola Hiver, hoy me complace participar en esta iniciativa de mi amiga @mayvil en las que nos propone relatar nuestras experiencias después del covid-19. Luego de que la pandemia nos tomara por sorpresa encerrando al mundo entero en sus casas para prevenir un posible contagio, de lo escépticos que muchos fuimos acerca de este coronavirus y que luego de un tiempo muchos nos contagiamos y otros lamentablemente no sobrevivieran ante este asesino silencioso.

El año pasado fue especialmente difícil, la primera ola de contagios en mi región se registró entre Julio – Agosto de 2020, la primera persona en enfermar seria mi hermano mayor que casi muere por covid-19. Muchas personas no corrieron la misma suerte, en mi casa todos caímos enfermos pero la enfermedad seria verdaderamente aterradora en Diciembre de 2020.

La segunda ola de contagios comenzó a principios de Diciembre y termino en Enero de 2021, de nuevo todos en mi casa enfermamos pero los principales afectados fueron mi papa y mi abuela, gracias a Dios todos logramos sobrevivir por segunda vez los embates del coronavirus. Pero la época decembrina fue gris, sin hallacas y sin dinero porque el covid-19 es un padecimiento con un alto costo económico más evidente en Venezuela. Sin embargo yo como sobreviviente ya casi a punto de recibir la primera dosis de la vacuna tengo mucho que contar y esta iniciativa es perfecta para hacerlo, también quiero invitar a mis amigos @sara-escribe y @universoperdido a que se unan a ella.

1.- Do you have any projects or activities in mind?

I would like to start an LGBTIQ+ community on Hive, it's an idea I've been forging since I joined this blockchain. I am in the process of creating it, I want a community that is like drag a space where everyone has a place. I know it will be difficult, but also when I started in Hive it was difficult and here I am fighting every day to improve my standards.

2.- With the pandemic have you discovered any skill that you didn't know?
I discovered that I could write a lot and that in the process I was doing creative catharsis, a term that I say would be perfect for writing my state at this moment. I also reactivated the sense of survival that I learned during the two 5 day national blackouts that we experienced in the country.

3.- Any place you would like to visit?

I would like to live in Spain, maybe Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia that has been my dream for a long time and I know that God has a good life plan for me, I don't rule out the United States or England either, I love English! I also have a lot to learn about Venezuela. I would like to go back to Coro, Falcon State, visit my grandmother, go back to Merida or Maracaibo.

1.- ¿Tienes algún emprendimiento o actividad en mente?

Me gustaría comenzar una comunidad LGBTIQ+ en Hive, es una idea que he estado fraguando desde que entre a esta blockchain. Estoy en proceso de creación, quiero una comunidad que sea como el drag un espacio donde todos tengan cabida. Sé que será difícil, pero también cuando comencé en Hive lo era y aquí estoy luchando cada día por mejorar mis estándares.

2.- ¿Con la pandemia has descubierto alguna habilidad que no sabías?
Descubrí que podía escribir muchísimo y que en el proceso hacia catarsis creativa un término que digo yo sería perfecto para de escribir mi estado en este momento. También volví a activar el sentido de supervivencia que aprendí en los dos apagones nacionales de 5 días que vivimos en el país.

3.- ¿Algún lugar que quieras visitar?

Quisiera vivir en España, quizás Madrid, Barcelona o Valencia ese ha sido mi sueño por un largo tiempo y sé que Dios me tiene un buen plan de vida, tampoco descarto Estados Unidos o Inglaterra ¡amo el inglés! También falta mucho por conocer de Venezuela. Quisiera volver a Coro, Estado Falcón visitar a mi abuela, volver a Mérida o a Maracaibo.

4.- Will you still be in Hive when the pandemic is over and you return to normality?

I would love to, even though sometimes I get discouraged and frustrated all the time, Hive has become a great place to shine. I love sharing my opinions through reviews and articles that I really enjoy doing. Hive is my best long term project, it's already 3 months of sharing and growing with a community that like everything has its problems. There are small xenophobic and homophobic groups that contribute nothing to the blockchain but the good ones are more.

5.- What lessons has Covid-19 taught you??

It has taught me that routine is important, now I value each day as if it were my last. When they take away your freedom to go where you want to go, at the time you want to go, you learn to value your freedom and the little things more. I also learned to eat to kill anxiety, the pandemic led us to extreme sedentary lifestyle, I have a pending debt with my health, I need to lose kilos.

4.- ¿Seguirás en Hive al terminar la pandemia y volver a la normalidad?

Me encantaría, a pesar de que a veces me desánimo y me frustro constantemente, Hive se ha convertido en un lugar grandioso para brillar. Me encanta compartir mis opiniones a través de reseñas y artículos que disfruto mucho haciendo. Hive es mi mejor proyecto a largo plazo, ya son 3 meses compartiendo y creciendo con una comunidad que como todo tiene sus problemas. Hay pequeños grupos xenófobos y homofóbicos que nada aportan a la blockchain pero los buenos somos más.

5.- ¿Qué enseñanzas te ha dejado el Covid-19?

Me ha dejado la enseñanza de que la rutina es importante, ahora valoro cada día como si fuera el último. Cuando te quitan la libertad de ir a donde quieras ir, a la hora que quieras ir aprendes a valorar más tu libertad y las pequeñas cosas. También aprendí a comer para matar la ansiedad, la pandemia nos llevó al sedentarismo extremo, tengo una deuda pendiente con mi salud, necesito bajar kilos.
