Soy la hermana mayor de cuatro criaturas de Dios, hasta hace poco era la única niña en la vida de mis padres y aunque rápidamente dejé de ser hija única por más edad que tuviese siempre me consideré la princesa de papá y mamá; ser la hermana mayor siempre ha sido un viaje en montaña rusa y una experiencia diferente en cada hermano/a.
I am the older sister of four of God's creatures, until recently I was the only child in my parents' life and although I quickly stopped being an only child no matter how old I was I always considered myself the princess of mom and dad; being the older sister has always been a roller coaster ride and a different experience for each sibling.
Desempeñar el rol de hermana mayor nunca ha sido fácil, se piensa que siempre se debe cumplir con ciertas exigencias como:
- Una hermana mayor debe cuidar al menor.
- Debe hacerle comida cuando mamá no está.
- Debe defenderlo de los chicos agresivos.
- Ser un buen ejemplo
- Apoyar en todo momento.
- Estar alegre por los logros de su hermano/a menor.
Realmente la lista de las características de un buen hermano mayor sería interminable; lo cierto es que para los hermanos menores nosotros en muchas ocasiones no somos lo ideal e incluso son más los momentos agridulces que propiamente dulces que viven con nosotros.
Playing the role of big sister has never been easy, it is thought that one must always meet certain demands such as:
- A big sister must take care of the little one.
- A big sister must take care of the little one.
- She must defend him/her from aggressive boys.
- Be a good example
- Support at all times.
- Be cheerful about your younger sibling's accomplishments.
The list of characteristics of a good older brother or sister would be endless; the truth is that for the younger siblings we are often not ideal and there are even more sweet and sour moments than actually sweet moments that they live with us.
Hoy les traigo una nueva versión de mi: Hermana mayor, cruella de Vil. Para mostrarle esta parte de mi deben conocer a mis queridos hermanos y las razones del por qué puedo ser Cruella de Vil para ellos.
Today I bring you a new version of me: Big sister, cruella de Vil. To show you this part of me you must know my dear brothers and sisters and the reasons why I can be Cruella de Vil for them.
Criatura n° 1 - Jhonny
Él fue mi primer hermano menor y con el que conviví hasta su adolescencia; hasta ahora hemos sido buenos compañeros de vida, pero desde pequeños siempre hemos sido unos jugadores de boxeo natos; para mi hermano siempre he sido cruella de Vil cuando debo llamarle la atención - con amor - por sus actitudes en el hogar o sus falta de interés en su futuro. Ser la hermana mayor no es tan divertido cuando debes ser quién haga tomar conciencia de sus acciones al hermano menor.
He was my first younger brother and I lived with him until his adolescence; until now we have been good life partners, but since childhood we have always been born boxers; for my brother I have always been cruel to Vil when I must call his attention - with love - because of his attitudes at home or his lack of interest in his future. Being the big sister is not as much fun when you have to be the one to make the little brother aware of his actions
Criatura n° 2 - Benedict
A pesar de haberlo conocido cuando mi papá y mi mamá decidieron que debía pertenecer a mi familia paterna, mi hermano y yo nunca fuimos unidos ¿Y cómo unirse con una hermana a la cual veías cada 30 días? Nuestra relación fue más sólida cuando crecimos; sin embargo soy cruella de vil cuando debo intentar entrar en su corazón y en su vida, soy cruella de vil cuando pasa por ciertas etapas y su hermana mayor no está para él
Even though I knew him when my mom and dad decided that he should belong to my father's family, my brother and I were never united. And how could you join a sister that you saw every 30 days? Our relationship was more solid when we grew up; however, I am cruel when I must try to enter his heart and life, I am cruel when he goes through certain stages and his sister May is not there for him.
Criatura n°3 - Jhonnever
¡Mi príncipe por obligación! Cuando él llegó a nuestras vidas ya yo contaba con cierta madurez y desde su concepción estaba emocionada por ser hermana mayor por tercera vez, esta sería la oportunidad perfecta para ser la mejor versión para mi hermano. ¡Pero adivinen! Este querido hermano sólo es unido con Jhonny y yo soy un cero a la izquierda; para él soy cruella de vil en todo momento: cuando le demuestro amor a través de mis abrazos, consejos o llamados de atención.
My prince out of obligation! When he came into our lives I was already a bit mature and since his conception I was excited to be a big sister for the third time, this would be the perfect opportunity to be the best version for my brother. But guess what! This dear brother is only attached to Johnny and I'm a zero on the left; to him I'm cruel and vile at all times: when I show him love through my hugs, advice or calls for attention.
Criatura n° 4 - Amelia
Esta princesa llegó a mi vida en plena pandemia, pensé que no sólo la conocería después que todo esto terminara pero Dios es grande y me dio la oportunidad de conocerla; pero como debemos protegernos no pude tomarla entre mis brazos, aún no considero que soy una versión de Cruella de Vil para ella, tan sólo espero poder ser su hermana mayor.
This princess came into my life in the middle of a pandemic, I thought that not only would I meet her after all this was over but God is great and gave me the opportunity to meet her; but since we must protect ourselves I could not take her in my arms, I still do not consider myself a version of Cruella de Vil for her, I only hope that I can be her big sister.
Y aunque ser Cruella de Vil no es lo que más me agrade en el mundo, debo serlo, porque una hermana mayor siempre será quién deba estar ahí para guiar al más pequeño; incluso si sientes que tú estás más perdido que ellos. Por eso soy cada día la mejor versión de mi, para ser una inspiración y puedan estar orgullosa de su Cruella de Vil.
And although being Cruella de Vil is not what I like most in the world, I have to be, because an older sister will always be the one who has to be there to guide the younger one; even if you feel that you are more lost than they are. That's why I'm the best version of myself every day, so that you can be an inspiration and be proud of your Cruella de Vil.
