Oh my! How did I miss this? No, actually I didn't miss it, I just missed the complete requirements for this initiative.
I mean, I just found something that seemed promising and at the same time help and guides so I just jumped right in.
Who doesn't love good things? absolutely no one.
You might wanna know what I have been babbling about all this while. well, grab your bucket of popcorns cause I am about to tell you the story of my life again. I don't get tired of doing that lol.
I came into this space with no idea of what I was doing or where to start. But at least I wasn't naive to the point of not knowing that there was something called INTRODUCTION at any given platform one finds his or herself.
I took a step further to publishing an introduction post after opening an account.
That was the beginning of my eagerness to explore more and learn more. Like I said in one of my posts that I had an issue with resource credits after my first publication, and this is where a kind fellow @Starstrings01 stepped in to help me.
And this is where I got to know about the Newbies Initiative initiated by @starstrings01
I read the initiative post to know about all the requirements and it seems I was eligible to join. I have an HP lesser than 500 and my reputation then was around 40+. I did everything as said and mentioned in the post, such as; setting my Hive rewards to 100% Hive Power, publishing at least one post a day, and also submitting my post to the SMILE discord room.
This means I was very eligible to participate in this initiative, but sadly for me, I missed the most important task or requirement, and that was making a post to notify them of my interest to participate in the initiative.
Silly right? I know. I thought doing the rest of the requirements behind the shadows was enough but missing the most important that would have certified me as a participant lol.
Am I sad? No, and that is because I haven't missed my chance of participating yet.
And this is the essence of this post.
To let the community members know that I am excited and most grateful for this initiative and I couldn't think twice about joining.
This is my acceptance post to participate in this initiative and I hope to do well as a newbie and as a community member.

and to @tripode for stepping in and explaining certain things to me when I was lost.
You both made this journey seem easy for me and not just me but for all newbies, though we all know it isn't as easy as it appears but with time it will be.
