Here is what we do whenever we are facing a problem while pursuing a project:
We rack our brain, utilise our resources, and seek help irrespective of how uncomfortable we may feel about it. The extremists in our midst would go as far as soiling their hands to get a solution.
This shows that people are ready to do anything possible to succeed
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all -Dale Carnegie
That's a fact.
We've heard stories of many people that reached their milestone after passing through a series of trial and error.
Of course, nothing comes easy. Just like every other person that is working towards a goal, all successful people in our society also had their fair share of obstacles.
Looking at the life of such people, it is worthy to note some things that played a role in their success story. They include;
Perseverance
Consistency
Passion
But then, what if everything turn out to be a wasted effort?
What if their passion, perseverance and consistency are still not giving them desired result?
Maybe you've always been opportune to cross path with people that saw a light at the end of the tunnel. That notwithstanding, I've also seen many people that gave their 101% throughout their project cycle yet, they were unable to achieve anything.
I mean, no matter the effort you make when trying to achieve any goal, there are times when you will never get to your eureka point.
Instances like that often pin people in a decisive spot. Admitting that nothing can be done would look like yielding defeat while an attempt to dig deeper into the project can be likened to barking up the wrong tree.
My Conclusion
There is always a stage where those working towards a project has to make one of two decisions. Give up or continue working hard?
When you think about obstacles people encounter, you'll notice that nobody is left out of this. Students, scientists, lawyers, businessmen, investors, name it.
Maybe, it would be alot easier to think of it as moving on. I know that l won't be spending a lifetime to do something that is not showing me any greenlight. That's why I switched from science class to commercial class when all my efforts were leading me to a dead end. I don't regret having to let go. I might have been in the same spot if l didn't make the decision then.
Sometimes, giving up on a thing can open doors to other opportunities. It's now a question of knowing when to move on and when to work harder.
