Wednesday Walk: Bishop's Garden

Yesterday I posted about the Washington National Cathedral. It is a stunning Gothic cathedral in Washington DC. In the post I showed a little bit of the gardens. While I was at the cathedral I found out I had about an hour before the tour so I went on a little walk around the Bishop's Garden.

The garden is located to the right of the cathedral, if you are looking at it. On the way to the garden you pass this great little house.

Then you go in this wonderful gate.

The initial view coming inside the gate.

Here is a look at the garden with the cathedral to the left.

I love details.

The koi fish were fun to watch.

This path lead out to a big lawn and both of the pictures were coming back to the garden.

Here is looking back toward the cathedral.

Now to show you a close up of the tulips. They were gorgeous!

In addition to the tulips there were some other beautiful purple flowers.

What a gorgeous garden to walk around and spend time in. That lucky Bishop!
