This is my entry into the Gaugan Contest brought to us by @steemean.
How I Made This Image
@steemean noticed that this picture might make a good candidate for Gaugan. I was curious as man-made structures seem to challenge the tool a little bit... so here goes...
Without editing, here's what Gaugan did with it to begin with:
No color, too much cloud and my raging river is a calm lake, or something... The bridge... I really think they need to do better with their structures. Still, maybe I can do something fun with it. If nothing else, we need less cloud and more color.
I also added some plain water beneath the bridge support in order to improve the reflection a little. I even added some wooden fence to the bridge to try to improve that structure.
Here is what I ended up with.
I'm still not really happy with the bridge, to be honest. I've also lost any sense of motion in the river, which is a pity.
I'm not going to look for a better picture today because I'm a bit tired and need to get out and get things done today. I'll try another one of my river pictures for next week.
