Splinterlands art contest

Hola amigos muy buenas noches. Hoy estoy muy contenta de compartir una nueva entrada al concurso de @splinterlands esta vez haciendo algo muy opuesto a mi entrada de la semana pasada, pues esta vez quise utilizar una de las cartas nuevas de Rebellion que me gusto mucho, de hecho hay varias que tienen un excelente potencial para poder dibujarlas, pero Helheim Demon llamo mas mi atención, pues creo que nunca he dibujado un “demonio” y como saben, no soy de dibujar figuras masculinas, realmente siento que no me quedan bien porque quedan con cara de mujer jajaja asi que quise realizar esta carta en su versión femenina, obviamente usando algo de ropa para no ser tan explicita y utilizando una paleta de colores bastante cálida, donde abundan muchos rojos y naranjas, también añadí un fondo algo colorido pintado con diferentes espirales, espero que les guste mi versión de esta carta.

Today I am very happy to share a new entry to the @splinterlands art contest, this time doing something very opposite to my last week entry, because this time I wanted to use one of the new Rebellion cards that I really liked, in fact there are several that have an excellent potential to draw them, but Helheim Demon called my attention more, because I think I have never drawn a "demon" and as you know, I am not a person who likes drawing male figures very much, I really feel they don't look good to me because they look like a woman's face hahaha so I wanted to make this card in its female version, obviously using some clothes to not be so explicit and using a fairly warm color palette, where many reds and oranges abound, I also added a somewhat colorful background painted with different spirals, I hope you like my version of this card.

Proceso/Process

Para este dibujo el boceto me tomo algo de tiempo, pues quería hacer una forma humana pero mas alargada de lo normal, por ejemplo los hombros están más debajo de lo que en realidad son los hombros reales, además de agregarle facciones menos realistas, intente colocar la mayoría de cosas que hicieran referencia a esta carta como la abertura en el pecho, los cuernos y las alas, después de terminar todo el boceto, empecé a pintar utilizando una paleta de color con muchos tonos naranjas y rojizos, además de pintar los ojos de amarillo, después coloque mas colores para terminar de formar el rostro pero sin tantos detalles ya que realmente no quería un acabado tan realista, asi que luego empecé a mezclar estos colores con un pincel duro y una opacidad baja, dejando una piel lisa, luego empecé a pintar los demás elementos, comenzando por los cuernos, los cuales hice de un color vino oscuro y luego le añadí algunas luces y sombras para darle volumen, el cabello lo pinte de marrón oscuro con algunas iluminaciones de un marron claro desaturado.

For this drawing the sketch took me some time, because I wanted to make a human shape but more elongated than normal, for example the shoulders are lower than what in reality are real shoulders, besides adding less realistic features, I tried to place most things that refer to this card as the opening in the chest, the horns and wings, after finishing all the sketch, I started to paint using a color palette with many orange and reddish tones, besides painting the eyes in yellow, then I put more colors to finish forming the face but without so many details because I really did not want a realistic finish, so then I started to mix these colors with a hard brush and a low opacity, leaving a smooth skin, then I started to paint the other elements, starting with the horns, which I did in a dark wine color and then I added some lights and shadows to give volume, the hair I painted in dark brown with some highlights of a light desaturated brown.

Luego pinte la ropa, esta vez hice una bata ancha con muchos pliegues, use rojo y negro para este traje, continue pintando sobre su mano un circulo amarillo con algunas iluminaciones en blanco en el centro y además algunos destellos alrededor, cambie el fondo a un tono naranja y estaba pensando que podía colocar de fondo y pense en hacer algunas figuras aleatorias con diferentes colores, normalmente realizo fondos de colores solidos pero esta vez quería algo que resaltara mucho, asi que tome muchos colores que combinaran con la paleta de color que había elegí esta vez, morado, azul, naranja, amarillo y comencé a pintar diferentes espirales, círculos y líneas que fluyeran en buen ritmo, luego pinte las alas, se me hizo bastante difícil ubicar las alas de una manera armoniosa esta vez, hice lo mejor que pude pero ya había avanzado muchísimo como para cambiar algo.

Then I painted the clothes, this time I made a wide robe with many pleats, I used red and black for this outfit, I continued painting on her hand a yellow circle with some white highlights in the center and also some sparkles around it, I changed the background to an orange tone and I was thinking what I could put in the background and I thought about making some random figures with different colors, normally I make solid color backgrounds but this time I wanted something that would stand out a lot, so I took many colors that matched the color palette I had chosen this time, purple, blue, orange, yellow and started painting different spirals, circles and lines that flowed in good rhythm, then I painted the wings, it was quite difficult to place the wings in a harmonious way this time, I did the best I could but I had already advanced too much to change anything.

Cree una nueva capa donde coloque iluminaciones, empecé a agregar puntos de luz en algunas zonas del rostro, ojos, alas e incluso resaltar mas las luces de los cuernos, Finalmente edite la imagen, pero muy leve, solamente para ajustar un poco la tonalidad con la ayuda de la herramienta de curvas.

I created a new layer where I placed highlights, I started to add points of light in some areas of the face, eyes, wings and even highlight more the lights of the horns,
Finally I edited the image but very lightly, just to adjust the tonality a little bit with the help of the curves tool.
