Hello friends, I hope you are very well.
Every week I find it more difficult to think of an idea for a card in the @splinterlands contest but luckily creativity is infinite and this week I didn't want to repeat a character so I did a search and I realized that this card that I had never used before "Sola Ranjell" had all the elements that I like to draw so I got down to work.
In my version I made a more sensual Sola Ranjell lying on a kind of cloth, looking ahead with her eyes very bright, the Scepter lying on her legs and a sky full of clouds that cover the entire upper part peeking a little light between them. I handled a somewhat rustic style for this drawing at the moment of painting since I wanted something of texture, I liked it very much although it was something difficult, I hope you like it.
I had many doubts with the sketch, I felt it was too much, but I decided to continue after several attempts, I began to choose the colors with which I would work this time, painting the skin with light skin tones quite simple, I began to detail first the face so I added a new layer where I added more shades molding better the face, then I started to mix all these colors to create a better finish on the skin, I started to fill in the clothes and hair, for the clothes I used a dark lilac tone and for the hair a desaturated brown, I started to mold the body skin giving it more realism and mixing the colors, then I took care of adding shadows and lights to the dress.
I started adding highlights to the hair with a mix of gray, blue and white tones keeping the brown desaturated in some parts where I wanted some darkness.
Then I started to paint the details in gold on the dress and then I put a base color on the boots of a pastel blue, for the details of the boot I created shadows and lights that give the illusion of folds all over the boot, giving more realism to all the work of the shoes, I painted the crown that goes on the forehead and then the horns, I created a tube to make the base of the scepter, I also began to paint where she would be lying which is a kind of chair covered with fabric, first I painted with light blue and then with dark blue I began to make the folds.
I continued working on the scepter, making the tip with a similar shape to the original card, then I applied this blue gem inside and added a little bit of glitter on top of the gem, I put the background with black and then applied the clouds, I added a new layer where I would start to lighten more certain points of the drawing, finally I applied a slight color adjustment giving a little more darkness to the drawing and highlighting better the lights in certain areas.
