Splinterlands art contest | Witch of Warwick

Hola amigos, hoy les presento mi nueva entrada al concurso de @Splinterlands con una carta que nunca había dibujado, esta vez elegí Witch of Warwick, les confieso que fue realmente difícil por la pose que elegí esta vez, pero quería que luciera bastante parecida a la carta original, esta vez use tonos fríos y algunas luces con tonos cálidos, cambie un poco el vestuario a mi gusto y además hice algunas joyas y ojos saliendo del cabello. Creo que la parte mas complicada de pintar y dibujar a la hora del boceto fue la posición del rostro que esta casi mirando hacia arriba y la boca, la boca fue un gran problema, pero intente lo mejor que pude jaja, espero que les guste.

Hello friends, today I present you my new entry to @Splinterlands art contest with a card I had never drawn before, this time I chose Witch of Warwick, I confess it was really difficult because of the pose I chose this time, but I wanted it to look quite similar to the original card, this time I used cold tones and some lights with warm tones, I changed a little the costume to my taste and I also made some jewels and eyes coming out of the hair.
I think the most complicated part to paint and draw at the time of the sketch was the position of the face that is almost looking up and the mouth, the mouth was a big problem, but I tried the best I could haha, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Hice un primer boceto que descarte, luego intente con este y después empecé a refinar los detalles, el rostro era bastante difícil y se veía extraño al igual que la boca, pero tuve fe en el proceso, luego comencé a pintar con los colores que elegí, pinte la piel con colores similares a la carta, usando tonalidades verdes pero un poco desaturadas, luego añadí otra capa donde comencé a difuminar los colores y darle forma a la piel, comencé a añadir colores base en la ropa y cabello, guiándome con la referencia para hacerlo lo mas parecido posible.

I made a first sketch that I discarded, then I tried with this one and then I started to refine the details, the face was quite difficult and looked strange as well as the mouth, but I had faith in the process, then I started to paint with the colors I chose, I painted the skin with colors similar to the card, using green tones but a little desaturated, then I added another layer where I started to blur the colors and shape the skin, I started to add base colors in the clothes and hair, guided by the reference to make it as similar as possible.

Empecé a darle forma a cada parte de la ropa añadiendo sombras y luces para crear los pliegues, lo mismo hice con el cabello, dándole forma de ondas y con morados claros y oscuros dándole el movimiento que quería, pinte las cejas y pestañas y además le añadí mas detalles a los ojos, añadí las joyas y ojos al cabello y comencé a pintar este humo que sale de su boca pero quise añadirlo en varias partes del dibujo, asi que pinte algunas en la parte superior e inferior, para el fondo simplemente elegí aplicar un fondo oscuro, añadí una capa donde comencé a aplicar iluminaciones, resaltando algunas partes del personaje y también añadiendo luces al fondo, finalmente edite la imagen para darle un poco mas de contraste a todo.

I started to shape each part of the clothes adding shadows and lights to create the folds, I did the same with the hair, giving it waves and with light and dark purples giving it the movement I wanted, I painted the eyebrows and eyelashes and also added more details to the eyes, I added the jewels and eyes to the hair and I started to paint this smoke coming out of her mouth but I wanted to add it in several parts of the drawing, so I painted some on the top and bottom, for the background I simply chose to apply a dark background, I added a layer where I started to apply highlights, highlighting some parts of the character and also adding lights to the background, finally I edited the image to give a little more contrast to everything.
