Greetings again friends, I hope you are very well.
Here I present my new entry to the @Splinterlands contest, this time I chose the Wood Nymph card, which I found very nice and I wanted to represent it in my style and making it quite similar to the original, my idea this time was to make Wood Nymph in an environment with lots of nature, where she was perched on a lake and around some plants and rocks, for the background I also put some nature applying trees and a bright sky, I painted the flower on the head that we see in the original card but this time I put it as decoration on the plants that are on both sides of the image, it was a difficult job, especially on the fabric because it is something that sometimes costs me a lot, but I still loved how the final result looks, I hope you like it too.
I started the sketch for which I had several ideas but I liked more this one of making it in this kind of lake, then I started to paint using a palette of green, yellow and white tones, creating the lights and shadows throughout the body, I created a new layer where I added many more colors and finished giving it the shape I wanted, I continued blurring these colors and mixing them together to have a smooth skin texture, the hair I painted it a dark green.
For the fabric of the clothes I chose a color similar to the original card but a more desaturated Salmon tone, less bright, I finished giving details to the face and then I applied a green background tone, I started to add the background details little by little and then I painted the details of the fabric to give it movement, I added highlights to the hair and some shadows, I also painted some rocks in front and the water ripples around her legs, continue detailing the background placing more stones, trees and plants, as well as a sky with yellow light flashes, I added some plants in front and decided to place the flower that this character is wearing on her head but this time I used it to create these flowers that are born from the plant.
Now I added some illuminations that would give more life to the drawing, finally I made an adjustment of saturation, exposure and color to the drawing giving it more depth.
