Hi there, folks. The weekend is already over for me and it's been a pretty chaotic one at work for me - thankfully things are calming down a bit now. It's been another week which means it's another Splinterlands Art Contest entry from yours truly. I'm seriously amazed that I did end up finishing this one on time (well, a couple days sooner, but the end of the weekend is the last time I get to do so)
As always here is how it went:
The Process
The Background
The original card has given Pelacor Deceiver some glows around her as if there was some source of light behind her, so I decided to give her background some sort of glowy white light source - probably the moon?
The Blood
It was at this stage that I thought to myself that the drawing needed some "juice" - no pun intended - so I went a little wild (and so did the Deceiver) and gave herself and her blade some blood, but for some reason, it felt kinda off.
The Result
In the end, I ended up making a bloodbath and covering her wings and even the presumed moon behind her with blood splatters as well. At some point in the drawing, I removed the light source behind her, but with how the extra blood is splattered on it, it sorta rhymes that the moon has dark and some eclipse has occurred, so I left it that and I think it fits properly.
Here's the final result, do tell me what you think about it. Have a great weekend and I'll see you in the next week's contest... cheers~~
