Digital Art Creation Process
STEP 1
Sketching
I started with this silhouette rough pose that I want to make for the art. In this stage I clearly see what I want to look for a finished artwork and so I continued my process.

I lower the opacity of the first rough pose I made and add another layer on top of it. Then start to define the shape of it's body with lines as you can see here.

Next thing I did is lower again the opacity of that rough lines I made and add another layer on top. Start to add the details of the character. The face, the clothes, cape and also it's weapon.

I'm happy with the rough sketches. I start to clean it up with a better line work. I was so happy with how it looks and excited of how will it turns to.

STEP 2
Coloring Stage
Alright! We have the sketch ready, now let's dive in to color. I add the base color. Any color will do from here but I change it to gray later on because I will be doing a grayscale first in this color process.

And here I am doing the grayscale adding shades of gray and dark in the areas of shadows and light gray for the areas that hitting the light.

In this stage, I add a layer on top of the grayscale and clip it to the layer below. I set the layer on overlay and start to color it base on the character reference. This is not the final color look because I will still tweak it to have a better color.

In this time, I add another layer on top and do the same thing, set it to overlay layer and now try to pop up the color for the highlights. In the areas of the top cape and the eyes also in his arms.

Try to pop it a little more and add a glowing effect to the eyes and areas in mouth and also his stomach area. I still do the same thing here an overlay layer on top of everything. I think I'm happy with the look here, time to render and clean it up as much as I could.
Let's go with the last step!

STEP 3
Final Touch and Render
We are now at the end of the Stage/Process. I like to just clean up the part with sketches in this process. As we go add the details of each parts of the illustration.
I try to define the shapes of the face, arms and its clothes that do the folding.

In this stage, I try to color change the color of it's clothes and glow up the lighting more. Making the lights of his face and stomach to pop more. I think I'm happy with the result and so, I will now do the weapon.

In here, I think the clothes is a little bit saturated so I turn it down. And I give much time to render it's weapon. I give my best to give it a glow in here.

HOOOO! And now I come to the final rendering. The first thing really I noticed in my artwork is the hand. I think it looks awkward in that position and so I change that entirely. I'm happy I did, it looks better now. This is just my tip. DON'T BE AFRAID TO CHANGE THE MISTAKES YOU SEE ON YOUR ART. I am also my own critique and so, if there's something need to change I definitely change it. I also turn down it's shadow below so that it would not catch to much attention unlike a dark shadow. I glow up much more the areas in his weapon and happy to see it like that. Also lastly, the little details like the tearing in his cape and clothes also little texture in it.

That's it we're done!
You made it to the end of this post. I really appreciate your time and attention. Keep up the good work ad have fun! Until next fan art stay tuned😁
Thank you very much!
