This time, I want a dynamic pose. Also, it is a study for me! 😁 Studying different poses makes me more appreciative of the human anatomy. I see a lot of dynamic poses found in fighting scenes. For me, one of the best artists of dynamic poses is Kubo Tite, the author of Bleach. 😁 For this card, my idea is that the character is about to jump onto an enemy with the red moon in the background. I will add flames on the sword as well as on the hair. I try to analyze first the shadowing and lighting.

On the coloring of the base, I chose the darker shades of the color picked from the original art. I altered some minor details on the gloves and the clothing itself. On the hair, I airbrushed yellow on the tip to mimic a flame. Next, I added another layer for the shadows. I apply darker shades on the corners. Here, I am following the grayscale study I made earlier.

Originally, the plan was the character would be falling from a tall building with clouds circling in the background. But I thought that it would be more badass with a dark background. So, I came up with a red moon and black background, and no clouds. I blur the moon a bit and add some small, black rubbles likewise blurring them out. Using the flame brush, I added fire to the sword and to the eyes and fixed it up a bit. It might not be noticeable but I added some glows of red reflected on the skin. Here, I already added the front shadow covering the face and downward.

Adding another layer set in Add Glow, I airbrushed yellow, orange, and red to the flames on the sword and eyes. Same for the hair and on the arm near the flames to make it look reflecting light. I added additional hair strands to the ponytail. Lastly, put the noise monochrome set on 10 percent.

Finished art!! 🥰 I enjoyed doing this art.
