Week 277 | My Splinterlands Art Contest Entry | Daigendark Surveyor

Hello! ✨

How is everybody? 😁

I skipped Week 276 because I was burned out from doing an art contest in another community. I was not able to finish this art that was supposed to be posted last week, but here it is! ✨

For this week, I chose Daigendark Surveyor from Rebellion!

Art Process

On a layer, I sketched the ideal pose for the card. The arms are on the back while looking at the right side. I then lowered the opacity and began doing the lineart. I used a solid pencil for the lines. I used different weights to highlight details.

Next is adding layers for the base colors. I used less saturated shades for all the elements. Another layer on top of each element layer for the soft shadowing.

Here, I intensified the shadowings by using a darker shade. I used a smudge brush and blur brush to soften hard edges. Next, I applied the lighting by using the add (glow) filter. I used a flat brush to fix the edges and also to add more strokes.

Final Art

I just worked on a simple background this time. I used two colors, white and orange, and blended them. I put orbs for some detail.

Thanks for reading~ 💖
