Art Process

Sketching first the pose and expression. In the initial sketch, I imagined Blackmoor laying on a grass patch, but then I changed my mind. And so, on the final lineart, I changed the expression and fixed the finger lengths.

I applied the base colors first in different layers. I chose darker shades this time. On separate layers, I began working on the eyes and soft shadows. In corporating hints of orange on the skin.

I added the cell shadows and blending out the edges for softer looks. Here, I added the tear details on the cheeks as well as the yellow diamond on the forehead.

On another layer, I added strands of hair and incorporating glows on the hair and clothing.

Final Art

As I said on the earlier part, I wanted a grass patch background, but in the final process, I decided to opt to celestial-galactic background. I added some glitters and sparkles and set them to glow. Finally, I added noise filter.

Finished art! ✨
