Hey there! Good evening or good morning, depending on where you are! Today, I want to share my post and entry for the Rada Quest Art Contest! π¨ Edition I β¨ Thanks for the invite!!
It's been a while since my last entry in a @radaquest contest, I've known Marcos for quite a few years, and it's awesome to join one of his contests again and it brought some good vibes back then, haha. I've been using Corel Painter 2019 more, and it's awesome to keep experimenting with different brushes. I haven't changed the canvas texture because I find it cool.

After checking out various options, each with its own charm, I settled on Elisya. She looks really cute; she must be a good singerπβΊ To me, she seems like a forest spirit or something, so I wanted to work with her.
I mainly used Corel Painter, and then I leaned on Photoshop for some things, but in this drawing, the percentage was more balanced, I'd say 50/50 in both programs.

I did a quick sketch to work on what the character was wearing, nothing too detailed, but it works to start.
On a layer below the lines, I added some gray to get some volume and a reference for the lighting.

The first thing I worked on was the background, for which I wanted a kind of enchanted forest but more nocturnal. I looked at some I had already done andddddd after several variations, I settled on this one.
I added some color but just as a base, using a brush. I wasn't really focused on the character at this point; I wanted to have a better background, so I changed it, trying something different. Working up to this point on two layers, essentially collapsing the lines with the character.

Little by little, I added a bit more detail and fixed some colors and errors. I also covered the lines more.
There were a few things missing, had several things in mind that I needed to finish, although I had a small power outage. I'm grateful not to have lost the format at the last moment.

To finish this drawing, I finally dedicated myself to doing the face, finishing the hair and many other small details that couldn't be missing in this piece. Some adjustments to color, highlights, and others. It was ready!
Thank you very much for taking the time to view my work.
