Martha's daughter at the time was sleeping peacefully and was not disturbed by the conversations they had regarding Amy's entangled courtship.
As it was late Mindy then said goodbye to Martha and her mother-in-law, returning home.
When she got there, she was surprised that the house lights were on, after opening the door there was Amy who had returned from her trip.
After greeting each other, Amy asked Mindy if there was anything new.
Mindy then talked to her about her niece and then detailed Richard's phone call.
With peals of laught, Amy said to her:
"Well you know that he always promises me many things, but then he disappears for a while, at least I see that he cares about me.
Tomorrow will be another day. "
