Esta semana, me sumo al Challenge de Motherhood que nos invita a compartir el primer cumpleaños de nuestros hijos.

Me encantó esta temática porque vi la oportunidad de recordar todo lo vivido durante el primer cumpleaños de mi hija.

Las fotos que comparto para esta publicación tienen alrededor de 21 años más o menos. Forman parte de mi colección fotográfica familiar. He conservado álbumes físicos de cada una de las celebraciones de cumpleaños de mi hija.

Antes era todo un reto tomar fotografías e imprimirlas para conservarlas. Había que administrar muy bien el rollo fotográfico, escoger la captura de los momentos especiales e intentar que todas quedaran nítidas y de calidad.

Luego, con la aparición de los celulares y las cámaras digitales, todo ha sido más fácil. Se pueden tomar todas las fotos que se quieran y se guardan en los archivos de la computadora. Tenemos miles de fotos guardadas de todos los cumpleaños siguientes y solo conservo impresas las más bonitas.

This week, I'm joining Motherhood's Challenge that invites us to share our children's first birthday.

I loved this theme because I saw the opportunity to remember everything I experienced during my daughter's first birthday.

The photos I'm sharing for this post are around 21 years old or so. They are part of my family photo collection. I have kept physical albums of each of my daughter's birthday celebrations.

It used to be a challenge to take pictures and print them to preserve them. You had to manage the roll of film very well, choose to capture the special moments and try to keep them all sharp and of high quality.

Then, with the advent of cell phones and digital cameras, everything has become easier. You can take as many photos as you want and save them in the computer files. We have thousands of photos saved from all the following birthdays and I only keep the most beautiful ones printed.

El primer cumpleaños es un acontecimiento familiar de muchas ilusiones y alegrías.

La celebración del cumpleaños de mi hija la preparamos con antelación, quería tener todo bien planificado y que no significara una tarea estresante.

No me costó mucho escoger el motivo de la fiesta porque a ella le encantaba Micky Mouse y sus amigos, me gustaba ver su carita de felicidad cuando los veía en las comiquitas o en los peluches y juguetes que le comprábamos.

Así, cada detalle era de Micky y Minnie Mouse: Mandé a hacer dos piñatas, dos tortas, los adornos alusivos al motivo de la fiesta y los cotillones para los niños invitados.

The first birthday is a family event of many illusions and joys.

The celebration of my daughter's birthday was prepared in advance, I wanted to have everything well planned so that it would not be a stressful task.

I didn't have a hard time choosing the motive for the party because she loved Micky Mouse and his friends, I liked to see her happy face when she saw them in the cartoons or in the stuffed animals and toys we bought for her.

So, every detail was Micky and Minnie Mouse: I had two piñatas made, two cakes, the decorations alluding to the reason for the party and the party favors for the invited children.

Guardo hermosos recuerdos de esos días de planificación y de la fiestecita de su primer cumpleaños.

I have fond memories of those planning days and of her first birthday party.

Estuvo muy contenta y risueña durante toda la celebración, recibió muchos regalitos y algunos de esos juguetes, hoy todavía existen.

She was very happy and giggly throughout the celebration, she received many gifts and some of those toys still exist today.

Lo más importante de aquella celebración es que hoy, cuando mi hija ve estas fotos, puede percibir la felicidad en nosotros y la dedicación con la que celebramos su primer año de vida. Son emociones inolvidables.

The most important thing about that celebration is that today, when my daughter sees these photos, she can perceive the happiness in us and the dedication with which we celebrated her first year of life. These are unforgettable emotions.
