Two small reviews of two absolutely different films. Different both in genre and country of origin. One is the mega production of the Disney corporation, which already has thousands of reviews on the internet and within the platform several users have written about it. The other film is an atypical Spanish production within the filmography of that country, it is a completely action movie, where melee fights, martial arts, sword battles and many deaths abound.
Dos pequeñas reseñas de dos películas absolutamente diferentes. Diferentes tanto en género como en país de origen. Una es la mega producción de la corporación Disney, que ya cuenta con miles de críticas en internet y dentro de la plataforma varios usuarios han escrito sobre ella. La otra película es una producción española atípica dentro de la filmografía de ese país, es una película completamente de acción, donde abundan las peleas cuerpo a cuerpo, las artes marciales, las batallas de espadas y muchas muertes.

Do these two films have anything in common? They have nothing in common. They are completely different, I saw them a few days ago and I want to recommend them. I liked them both, they didn't exceed my expectations, but I can say that they are fun, each one in its own way. Both are perfect for you to schedule and watch in the next few days.

What is the plot of Cruella?
The movie, as most people know, is a Disney invention where we are introduced to the origin of the character Cruella de Vil, from the novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians, which had two film adaptations, the most successful and remembered is the animated version and the second was a live-action version. The film introduces us to Estella (who will later become Cruella) from her birth, the tragic death of her "mother" and her desire to achieve success and fame in the fashion world. Always struggling with her inner self, because she has two faces, one good and one bad. What is Cruella's true origin? How will she achieve success? Why does she hate Dalmatians? Is she a good or a bad person? Both?

La película, como la mayoría sabe, es una invención de Disney donde nos presenta el origen del personaje Cruella de Vil, de la novela Los Cien Dálmatas, que tuvo dos adaptaciones cinematográficas, la más exitosa y recordada es la versión animada y la segunda fue una versión de acción real. La película nos presenta a Estella (que luego se convertirá en Cruella) desde su nacimiento, la trágica muerte de su "madre" y su deseo de alcanzar el éxito y la fama en el mundo de la moda. Siempre luchando con su ser interior, porque tiene dos caras, una buena y otra mala. ¿Cuál es el verdadero origen de Cruella? ¿Cómo logrará el éxito? ¿Por qué odia a los dálmatas? ¿Es una persona buena o mala? ¿Ambas?

I was never a big fan of the movie versions where this villain appears. I saw them as a child, but as I was more disturbed than Cruella, they seemed to me very silly movies, I preferred to watch movies with deaths and sex, my parents gave me a lot of freedom. Besides, I'm not a fan of animal movies, I don't have pets, I'm Cruello de Vil! Hahaha
The only reason I watched Cruella was because of Emma Stone, one of the actresses I currently love. She does great, she was the main reason to watch the whole movie without falling asleep (I watched it in the wee hours of the morning). Her performance, being Estella and Cruella is the best of the whole movie.
It is a Disney production and the problem lies in the fact that they are of the tendency to make things politically correct. You can tell they want to start a franchise with Cruella, about her adventures and sugarcoating her as a villain. What's more, she is no longer perceived as a villain, she does no harm to the Dalmatians and the evil she does, is to achieve justice. What the hell is this? A villain is a villain and even if they show her origin and humanize her, I can't stand that they want to turn her into some kind of hero.

Nunca fui muy fan de las versiones cinematográficas donde aparece esta villana. Las vi de pequeño, pero como era más perturbado que Cruella, me parecían películas muy tontas, prefería ver películas con muertes y sexo, mis padres me daban mucha libertad. Además, no soy fan de las películas de animales, no tengo mascotas, ¡soy Cruello de Vil! Jajaja
La única razón por la que vi Cruella fue por Emma Stone, una de las actrices que me encanta actualmente. Lo hace genial, fue la principal razón para ver toda la película sin quedarme dormido (la vi a altas horas de la madrugada). Su actuación, siendo Estella y Cruella es lo mejor de toda la película.
Es una producción de Disney y el problema radica en que son de la tendencia de hacer las cosas políticamente correctas. Se nota que quieren iniciar una franquicia con Cruella, sobre sus aventuras y endulzándola como villana. Es más, ya no se la percibe como villana, no hace daño a los dálmatas y el mal que hace, es para conseguir justicia. ¿Qué demonios es esto? Una villana es una villana y aunque muestren su origen y la humanicen, no soporto que la quieran convertir en una especie de héroe.
She doesn't hurt any Dalmatians and she doesn't smoke either, dammit! This is what makes me laugh the most at Disney's nonsense. One iconic thing about the character in the animated version is that she smokes. But oh my god! Disney puritans are currently forbidden from showing characters smoking. Hollywood hypocrisy at its finest.
Is the movie bad or good? I can only tell you that it's fun and I ended up liking it, if you want to spend a couple of hours reveling in Emma Stone's makeup and costumes and a good soundtrack. Cruella's interaction with her friends Jasper and Horace was another fun thing. Not that they made me laugh, but they did have scenes that brought a slight smile to my face. The actor Paul Walter Hauser who plays Horace, I've liked ever since I saw him in the Kingdom series, the film I Tonya and then Richard Jewell.
I'm sure there will be a sequel, although Disney hasn't confirmed anything, news of the film's resounding success brings me fortune telling skills and I can see the look on the faces of Disney executives right now. Their eyes are the color of cash. Millions of dollars. They must be in their offices, smoking and behaving like the real Cruella de Vil. They have found another gold mine, turning a villain into a heroine and role model for new generations.

Ella no hace daño a ningún dálmata y tampoco fuma, ¡joder! Esto es lo que más me hace reír de las tonterías de Disney. Una cosa icónica del personaje en la versión animada es que fuma. Pero ¡oh, Dios mío! Los puritanos de Disney tienen actualmente prohibido mostrar personajes fumando. La hipocresía de Hollywood en todo su esplendor.
¿La película es mala o buena? Sólo puedo decirte que es divertida y termino gustandome, si quieres pasar un par de horas deleitándote con el maquillaje y el vestuario de Emma Stone y una buena banda sonora. La interacción de Cruella con sus amigos Jasper y Horace fue otra cosa divertida. No es que me hicieran reír, pero sí tuvieron escenas que me sacaron una ligera sonrisa. El actor Paul Walter Hauser que interpreta a Horace, me gusta desde que lo vi en la serie Kingdom, el film Yo Tonya y luego Richard Jewell.
Estoy seguro de que habrá una secuela, aunque Disney no ha confirmado nada, las noticias del rotundo éxito de la película me aportan dotes de adivino y puedo ver la mirada de los ejecutivos de Disney ahora mismo. Sus ojos tienen el color del Dinero en efectivo. Millones de dólares. Deben estar en sus oficinas, fumando y comportándose como la auténtica Cruella de Vil. Han encontrado otra mina de oro, convirtiendo a una villana en una heroína y modelo a seguir para las nuevas generaciones.

What is the plot of Xtremo?
Max works for Lucero, who is the son of the man who controls organized crime and drug sales. On the night of the Conclave, a meeting of the mafia bosses, Lucero reveals himself and takes control of his organization. That same day Max decides to withdraw from the world to be with his son. But tragedy strikes. Two years later, Max awaits the celebration of a new conclave to do justice. I did the above synopsis very carefully, so as not to spoil something important about the story. I suggest you don't watch the trailer, which shows everything. I want your experience watching this action movie to be similar to mine, that you enjoy it knowing almost nothing about it.
The movie is Spanish and what stands out is the action genre. Fights with lots of blood, heads blown off, walls and sinks destroyed by a kick or a punch. Men skilled in martial arts and even sword fights, Spanish samurai!
It is starred and written by Teo Garcia, a Spanish expert in different fighting and combat techniques, who has all his life dedicated to the world of martial arts. His big dream of making a Spanish action movie has come true. He plays Max, the hero, and as the antagonist is the famous actor Oscar Jaenada. This actor plays Lucero, a histrionic villain who made me laugh a lot in his exaggerated scenes.

La sinopsis anterior la hice con mucho cuidado, para no estropear algo importante de la historia. Te sugiero que no veas el trailer, que lo muestra todo. Quiero que tu experiencia viendo esta película de acción sea similar a la mía, que la disfrutes sin saber casi nada de ella.
La película es española y lo que destaca es el género de acción. Peleas con mucha sangre, cabezas reventadas, paredes y lavamanos destruidos por una patada o un puñetazo. Hombres hábiles en las artes marciales e incluso peleas de espadas, ¡samuráis españoles!
Está protagonizada y escrita por Teo García, un español experto en en diferentes técnicas de pelea y combate, que tiene toda su vida dedicado al mundo de las artes marciales. Su gran sueño de hacer una película de acción española se ha hecho realidad. Él interpreta a Max, el héroe, y como antagonista está el famoso actor Óscar Jaenada. Este actor interpreta a Lucero, un villano histriónico que me hizo reír mucho en sus exageradas escenas.
It made me laugh for good, because this production is atypical in Spanish cinema and the process to make it has taken Teo Garcia many years. A great effort that can now be enjoyed on the Netflix platform. Ideal for action lovers, with rough characters and crazy fights.
I had a great time watching Max's character kick the crap out of the bad guys, in the style of Hollywood action movie heroes, but with an Iberian flavor. Are some of the fights over the top? Yes, but that's to be expected in this type of film.
In the cast we find Andrea Duro as Maria, who will help Max to execute the revenge. Oscar Casas, Mario Casas' younger brother, plays Leo, a young man who will befriend Max and remind him of his son and therefore decides to protect him, even if it jeopardizes his whole plan. Even Luis Zahera has a small role in the film.
The plot is not the most original in the world and some of the actors are not very good in their performances, but it is passable. Teo Garcia is not an actor, he is an expert in various martial arts, when it comes to convey some emotion, he fails, because that is not his forte. But when it comes to fighting like a demon, he will break the bones of anyone who gets in his way, that's where he shines, with the choreography of the fights.
Testosterone, lots of adrenaline, is what this movie exudes. Don't expect award worthy performances, just strong action. I enjoyed it a lot, I recommend it if you like the genre.
Me hizo reír para bien, porque esta producción es atípica en el cine español y el proceso para realizarla le ha llevado muchos años a Teo García. Un gran esfuerzo que ahora se puede disfrutar en la plataforma Netflix. Ideal para los amantes de la acción, con personajes rudos y peleas alocadas.
Me lo pasé muy bien viendo cómo el personaje de Max daba una paliza a los malos, al estilo de los héroes del cine de acción de Hollywood, pero con sabor ibérico. ¿Son exageradas algunas de las peleas? Sí, pero eso es de esperar en este tipo de películas.
En el reparto encontramos a Andrea Duro como María, que ayudará a Max a ejecutar la venganza. Óscar Casas, el hermano pequeño de Mario Casas, interpreta a Leo, un joven que se hará amigo de Max y le recordará a su hijo y por eso decide protegerlo, aunque ponga en peligro todo su plan. Incluso Luis Zahera tiene un pequeño papel en la película.
La trama no es la más original del mundo y algunos de los actores no están muy bien en sus interpretaciones, pero es pasable. Teo García no es un actor, es un experto en varias artes marciales, cuando se trata de transmitir alguna emoción, falla, porque ese no es su fuerte. Pero cuando se trata de luchar como un demonio, romperá los huesos de cualquiera que se interponga en su camino, ahí es donde brilla, con la coreografía de las peleas.
Testosterona, mucha adrenalina, es lo que destila esta película. No esperes actuaciones dignas de premio, sólo acción fuerte. La disfruté mucho, la recomiendo si te gusta el género.

Two movies to choose which one you want to see. Either Disney's sweetened version of Cruella De Vil or the production of Iberian males beating each other to death. I suggest you watch both, in any order you like. They are fun and will make you escape from reality for a few hours.
