It seems like yesterday when I was excited about the beginning of the new year and 31 days have already passed in the blink of an eye.
I think that this did not happen to me when I was a teenager and I think it is related to advancing years and also because the maelstrom of everyday life makes the time slip through our fingers as when we try to catch the air we breathe with our hands.
Therefore, we are already on February 1 and as every first day of each month we celebrate all hivers the hive power up day (#HPUD) which is a way to show our commitment to the blockchain from which we can get several benefits by increasing our Hive Power such as:
- More voting power and therefore more profitable is your vote.
- You get more healing rewards. You can earn HIVE Power simply by voting good content.
- You earn interest for your staked HIVE Power.
- You can delegate more HP to projects and thus in many of them get HIVE or HBD in return.
Additionally, every month people who staked a higher amount of HIVE in relation to the amount of HIVE POWER previously staked can get various prizes in the form of delegations according to the information that @traciyork post.

Additionally, for those of us who are Hispanic there is also the Hispanic Hive Power Up Day under the hashtag #HispanicHPUD as usually published by @victoriabsb monthly. I leave you the link.
First of all, above the HIVE value staked there is an arrow with a drop down menu and within the options I have selected the Power up option.
Subsequently, a window opens. In which we can indicate the amount of HIVE to which we want to Power up.
Next we will have to confirm if we want to perform the indicated operation.
Finally, you can check that the HIVE has been staked correctly by obtaining the new HP value.
