Update - HIVE HUB GUATEMALA- Video Tour

Time to leap into Lake Atitlan!
Big things are happening down here in Guatemala at Lake Atitlán, and I’m excited to finally give you a sneak peek.
I just finished filming a walkthrough video of Ati Hostel and Beach Club.
Come have a look at where we’ll be launching Hive Hub Guatemala
—a physical space dedicated to onboarding new users and showcasing the Hive blockchain in action. In the video, I give you a peek into some of the spaces and the property.

For those who’ve been following along, you know that Hive Hub is more than just a cool name — We are bringing Hive and Hive tools to a popular backpackers hotel in a hip tourism hot spot out there in the real-world.
The idea is simple: Demonstrate Hive’s tools in an active tourist location, while onboarding users directly at reception, not just digitally, but face-to-face. Our big point of leverage, the Hive Debit card solves a constant issue here at the lake: That it is hard to have enough fiat change for all the small purchases made by guests throughout their stay. With the Hive Debit card, real change will be one tap away.

The video walks you through our roadside and lakeside cafes, and gives you eyes into the hostel, our new Hive Hub Club.
You’ll see here the spaces where we will be setting up everything—
from the burger café and creative workspaces, to the QR-code menus, Hive-integrated point-of-sale systems, and guest registration tools powered by Hive accounts creating a circular economy.
Tourists will be able to pay in HBD, locals can earn rewards for content creation and promotion, and the space will run regular workshops, live onboarding sessions, and creator meetups. It’s not just about talking Web3— it’s about living it!

One of the most exciting parts of this walkthrough is our stop at the Ati Beach Club, where we’re exploring a partnership to extend the Hive experience even further. Imagine people enjoying the lake, and while they’re sipping a drink or lounging on the beach, they can simply tap there preloaded Hive Debit cards and pay and even earn Distriator discounts for using the card and demonstrating the action.
All this is meant to be a training ground. The kind of subtle, experiential onboarding that can shift the hive culture into an already open-to-new-experiences tourist culture.

And more exciting news… @ninaeatshere and @artakush have agreed to come in early June and are clearing all obstacles as we speak. They will be key point-people for promoting Hive Hub/Hive tools to newly arriving guests. We are openly pursuing support from the community. You can help us make this happen by pitching something toward their flights, however big or small. So far we are at 900 hbd donations. We are hoping Value Plan may be open to matching any funds we get from the community who want to support this project and make HIVE HUB GUATEMALA possible.

@starkerz @buttcoins @jthomasewsky @artakush @ninaeatshere @thebombkids are the current team, all prepared to get Hive out into a real world experiment, creating sustainable replicable models. The 1st draft of the Hive Hub Playbook.
Join us, come be part of this!
All support will go toward flying in key contributors to help run events and onboarding sessions. People with real Hive knowledge and passion who can train, inspire, and build with us on the ground.

This walkthrough video is just the beginning. Think of it as a “before” snapshot. In the coming weeks, we’ll share progress updates, architectural improvements, and interviews with the team. We’re doing this transparently and community-first—because Hive isn’t a brand, it’s a people-powered protocol. And that’s exactly what we want to reflect in this space.

Thanks for watching the video, and thank you for your ongoing support. Whether you’re a stakeholder, a creator, a dev, or just Hive-curious—this project is for all of us. Drop your thoughts, share the video, and if you want to pledge support or get involved, hit me up in the comments.
