Hey my fellow hivians this is my entry to this week's inkwell prompt, I hope you enjoy it.

Jimmy sat as stared as a half empty glass cup at the table, trying to distract himself from the blonde lady in his front that had been going on about her past relationships. He tried very hard to seem interested in whatever she was saying by giving her empty replies like sure and yeah when she asked for his opinion. They had been talking for a while over social media but meeting her in person now, he wished he had stayed home to play fortnite than to be on the date they were on. He walked her home and didn't wait for her to say goodnight before walking back home.
Jimmy got home to meet Thomas his roommate glued to his controller as he tried to keep up with the game he was playing. Thomas stared at Jimmy's face and threw an arm pillow at him, he then laughed and said,"Tell me bro, what got you in a mood?" Jimmy responded with a wave as if he didn't know what Thomas was taking about, but Thomas paused the game and stared at him, as he knew that something was really bothering his roommate.

"Come man, talk to me, what's up? How did your date go?" Jimmy picked up the pillow and screamed into it, Thomas laughed and said,"Was it that bad?" Jimmy turned to him and made a face mimicking the way his date spoke to him earlier," I don't think people with below 1k followers should be classified as people". They both burst into laughter immediately. Thomas said,"So I guess she is not the one then". Jimmy stood up and walked to the kitchen and took a beer out of the refrigerator and Thomas followed him. "Well look at the bright side, there are many fishes in the sea",Thomas said. Jimmy looked at him and laughed in a sarcastic manner. Thomas then said, " I know what this is about, your still hooked aren't you?". Jimmy made a face looking at his roommate to complete his sentence. "I get it now, you still in love with her", Thomas continued. He laughed and went back to sofa to resume his game, Jimmy followed him now trying to disapprove of what Thomas had told him.

"I'm not in love with anybody, I have moved on", Jimmy said. Thomas laughed as he said,"Okay". "Why would you even think that I still love Stephanie?", Jimmy continued. Thomas had a big smile on his face now as he said, "I didn't call any names, you said it yourself". Jimmy picked up a pillow and threw at his roommate that started to laugh as he rushed him and they started to have a play fight, the kind they always had since they were kids. Jimmy pinned Thomas down till he tapped out in submission then he let him go. Thomas held his shoulder in pain as he stared at his roommate that laid flat on the floor, he said," You really need to let her go bro, I hate seeing you like this". Jimmy said," I know but she was perfect". Thomas sat back on his sofa and stared into the screen again with the controller in his hands, "Nobody's perfect, that the one good thing about being human". "We all crave perfection, that's the curse of having a higher intellect". Jimmy sat up and picked up his ipad as he stared into the blank sketch pad with a joystick in his hands. The room they shared was littered with drawings and paintings on the wall, pictures of different faces and shapes that he had sketched." Who is even a perfect person, does that person even exist?", Thomas said. "Maybe", Jimmy repiled with visible excitement in his eyes, Thomas then laughed and said," I knew this day would come, you have finally gone crazy". Jimmy left his roommate in the living room as he started to draw something in his pad that he appeared to have a key interest in, he sat on the dining table and took a sip of his half filled beer. He drew a girl with all the perfect features very man could dream of, she had perfect hips, a perfect body and a perfect face. Jimmy then rushed to his garage, dashing across the living room, Thomas knew the look he had on his face. He knew that whenever his roommate sets his mind to something he becomes very engaged in it, so he followed him outside to the garage to see what he had come up with this time.

Jimmy wore an apron as bags of clay lay at his feet as he started to mold something, he was so involved in his work that he didn't notice when another person had entered the room. The picture Jimmy had sketched was on his tablet that he set aside as a reference, Thomas stared at the picture and look back at Jimmy confused." What is this?", Thomas asked. Jimmy looked with excitement in his eyes," that's the perfect woman",he said. Thomas burst into laughter as he thought that his friend had truly gone crazy this time. Jimmy then said,"You may laugh now but you just wait and see". Thomas asked,"After molding yourself the perfect woman, how would you bring her to life?, Jimmy did you hit your head anywhere?, beacuae you are starting to sound a bit absurd, this has to be your most irrational episode ever". Jimmy did not raise his nose from his work, he had been captivated by it and nobody was going to tell him to back down. So Thomas left the garage in a rage, thinking that maybe his roommate has finally lost his marbles. He did what he would always do when this sort of things happened, he picked up a phone and called Jimmy's mother showing concern for her son.

Jimmy had finished molding the staute of the perfect woman and by 11:11pm he went bed and made a wish that his statue would come to life. The next morning he ran to the garage to see that the statue had been missing, somebody had removed it from it's original postion, with rage he marched to Thomas room and entered without knocking and started to question him about the missing staute. They both were in a heated argument when they heard a noise in the kitchen, they started at each other confused as they were the only ones that lived in the house, so who was the person in the kitchen, Thomas quickly grabbed a baseball bat and Jimmy followed close behind him, they saw a woman in the kitchen helping herself to whatever she wanted from their fridge. They couldn't believe their eyes, because she had to be the most beautiful lady they had ever laid their eyes on, she was exactly as the statue but with human flesh. Jimmy couldn't believe that his crazy plan had worked, she had picked up a left over steak and still didn't notice that she was no longer alone, Thomas cleared his throat and the lady looked up frightened by the figure that stood by the side of the kitchen with a bat in his hands. She raised her hands over her head in surrender and said,"Sorry for stealing your food, I was very hungry". Jimmy couldn't hide the excitement on his face as he moved in and started to introduce himself to the stranger and talk to her like if they knew eachother from somewhere.

Later that night, they went on a date and Jimmy came back home with the same expression from yesterday on his face, he said," She is just like a robot and she agrees to every single thing I say or do". Thomas laughed and said,"I thought that was what you wanted". Jimmy then said,"I want to be with someone that has their own beliefs and ideology about the world and not a frecking talking robot". Thomas then said,"You can't have perfection, we have to accept other people's flaws". The formed staute sat down there like a robot waiting for orders and both stared at it and burst into laughter.

The End.
