Updates on Our Posting Scheduled
For quite a while we have been publishing highlights on Sundays, new writing prompts on Mondays, and then occasional other articles. Here's our new schedule, so you know what to expect:
- Our weekly prompt posts will continue on Monday nights
- Weekly highlights will be published on Wednesday nights
- Newsletters, writing tips and other posts will come out on the weekends
Last Call for the March Pot of Gold Game!
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, a March holiday, we have a fun contest running this month to highlight all things Irish — shamrocks, green beer, funny green hats, pots of gold at the end of the rainbow, and more.
See the rules below on how to earn points. Be sure get your posts in by March 31, and post a link to your story in the comments of the March 2022 News and Fun from The Ink Well post.
Here's how to play:
- Write at least one story this month in The Ink Well that includes shamrocks, leprechauns, pots of gold or other St. Patty's Day paraphernalia. (2 points per story.) Note: There is no limit to the number of stories you can write to get points, but each one must be a minimum of 750 words. And you must write a minimum of one story to participate.
- Read and comment on other posts that include any of those items. (1 point per comment.) Note: You must write at least three sentences in your comments to qualify.
You know we are all about quality, so of course we had to make sure we build that into the rules.
At the end of the month, we will tally the points and the one with the most will receive 5 Hive!
An Exciting Announcement Is Coming
Over time, many people have asked if we have a Discord server. And we do. However, we have not had adequate staffing to manage making our Discord server public.
Well, that's about to change. We know you guys sometimes need to get questions answered or want help understanding our community rules.
So... watch for our April newsletter!
