
The Great Garlic Girls have been a symbol for Norway, and they are doing drag shows. These shows are occuring when one person makes himself or herself in the opposite gender! And this is popular in Norway, Europe and without the borders of different countries, that is in other countries!
The Great Garlic Girls is a Norwegian revue group that since 1981 has done performances with a number of drag shows, and these are performances where men are dressed as women, and thay are making different costume, dance and music numbers. The Great Garlic Girls has been popular in Norway, and also in Europe, and the name Europe was meaning to be intelligent and with perspectives! The group was started of Olav Klingen, Simen Sand and Morten Rudå, and the premiere was at Pilen restaurant on the 1 June 1981.
The Great Garlic Girls has made the music environments in Norway funny, and they have been an icon and a symbol for developing music cultures both at home and abroad. We are born with a gender, and this gender can be manipulated. And when doing so, many people begin to laugh. And being in good mood is always important in life, and for making the quality of life, which means that we deserve to live the life as it comes!

Great Garlic Girls has toured in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, West-Germany and in the Faroe Islands and on Iceland, and this music group has been in TV-shows in Norway and in Denmark. The group delivered Norways Montreux-contribution in 1987. And life is always about being visible and strong with a contribution, also in sciences, or being invisible and with little importance. On the 20 April 2006, this group made their 25-years anniversary show at Latter at Aker Brygge in Olso. The autumn 2006, this group achived the first place on an Italian hit list with the song “High Energy”, and this was the name of this group’s show in 2003.
Great Garlic Girls has had a management team, and this has been Tarn Management and Nama Management, and today they are having artists, and events in the team. Great Garlic Girls is a a Scandinavian sensation that has occurred around the whole Europe, and they have also been in the USA with having performances. Great Garlic Girls is a unique combination of music, dance, cabaret and theatre. The show is consisting of top humor and wonderful parodies, and they are dressed with costumes that take the breath away from most people, and these shows are shows you should not miss!
Terje Schrøder is still-going-strong in Great Garlic Girls. He joined the group in 1984, three years after that The Garlic Girls became a new acquaintance with Norwegians. Nowadays, Terje Shrøder is active in Great Garlic Girls together with Ronny Wilhelm, and Terje and Ronny have been active since 2015.
Why the name «Garlic»? Well, garlic is known to be an aphrodisiac and is frequently used over the whole world. Great Garlic Girls can be stated to be a spice out of the ordinary in showbiz. Great Garlic Girls has had an enormously great success during several years, and they have been much on TV, and also in the newspapers like The Daily News and New York Post. They have had a popular show called for “The Ultimate Experience”, and everybody can believe in the actual concepts that are avaiable, and you and I can evaluate everything to find that “The proof of the pudding is in the eating”. What have we really seen and experienced? Are these experiences loved by many people around the earth, or are there some popular regions?
