I am sure this photo caught your attention as it is worth a shot. Located outside the Primark Shopping Mall, one of the cheapest store in the area where jam packed of tourist go there to buy goods.

The Dam Square

A big coupled square that is very crowded. This is one of my favourite place to unwind because you will be able to see tons of great building of historical structures , churches, entertainments, public events, museums and national monuments. Madame Tussauds and Ripleys Believe it Or Not Museum is also around the area, however, it is highly recommended that you have to make a reservation and book a ticket in advanced before going there.

Konijnklijk Palace

Konijnklijk Palace is known as the Royal Palace onthe Dam as it is by far the central attractions due to its history in the 17th century, it is also the most luxurious and the most visited spot in the city center. The Royal Palace is well-known as the home for the Dutch Royal Family where events and official receptions are held.

Magna Plaza Shopping Center

Magna Plaza Shopping Center is just behind the Konijnklijk Palace. This neo-Gothic style building is used to be the Dutch Main Post Office, we came across this place due to its incredible architectural details. I thought it is a palace or museum but this is now the Dutch Indoor shopping mall that gives real classic grandeur with a modern experience. Inside this mall are a couple of clothing stores, beauty products, tourist souvenirs, cafes, boutiques and some exhibition spaces.

For further information you may visit their site Magna Plaza Shopping Center. The shopping mall is open from Monday to Sunday, 10am to 7pm.

Red Light District

When curiousity strikes you and see what all the fuss is about :P

Prostitution is legal in the Netherlands. It may be funny for some , however, expect to see brotels, sex shops, strip clubs, sex museums , sex show events in some bars and varieties of women from different races. You can see some quite attractive women displayed in their barely-dressed appearance, mainly wearing bikinis and lingerie inside the red-neon light window just trying to get attention for their business.

Yeah this district is undeniably mental, the streets are narrow that will blown you away at how crowded the entire area gets at night due to the glowing red colors.

Furthermore, the canals around the area are also beautiful with lights, plenty of bars and restaurants to go for a drink and food.

TAKE NOTE: You are not allowed to take any photos or videos of the sex workers! It is seriously frowned upon!

Better to keep your children away from this place :P

De Waag

De Waag known as the "Weigh House" and built in the 15th century, originally a city gateway of Amsterdam and now it is serves as a restaurant . Have a look at this stunning structure-like castle with turret in a large square. De Waag is situated near the Red Light District. Bumped to this place because it is absolutely attractive and unique, best to see at night as the lights of this iconic building is really superb.
