Hello, Hive community! It’s been a while since the last time I was active. Even so, I am aware of the justin sun situation, maybe not entirely but enough to led me to the decision of being here now. This is my re-introduction post, because… well, I see a lot of people doing that so, yeah, why not.
Hi, I’m Rain. I’m a 3D artist. Things I love most include coffee, rainy weather, art deco, great dialogue, the game industry, and I hoard quotes. 12.00 AM to 1.00 AM is the best time in a day. If you don’t think so I declare war on you.
So… what to expect from my blog? Mostly about 3D art, Blender, broken English, maybe a little bit of gaming and anime here and there, though I think most likely it’d be fanarts, and also fiction writing/short stories when I feel shameless about my lacking English and literature knowledge. Oh, have I mentioned broken English?
However, I'll make my posts to be enjoyable even for those who are not an artist. Or at least, I'll try to make it that way as best as I can.
I’m also open for commission.
I love 3D sculpting and modelling. Be it for 3D printing, game asset, or simply a beautiful render. So if you like my character art that you can see in my blog and at my Artstation page—which I know not so much to see for now—I’m open for commission! Both OC or fanart. The commission sheet is waaay down below.
If you want a 3D artist in your team, then that’s even better. I’m willing to do a freelance job too if that’ll be my first step in getting into the game industry. Making characters is the thing that I’m really into, but of course, I can make other things as well such as props, both organic and hard surface.
Currently, the tool that I use is the ever-evolving Blender, more precisely Blender 2.8. So not the one that makes margarita mind you, the one that makes 3D model and 3D/2D animation. I also use Krita occasionally for concept arting and make textures for my model if needed.
Speaking of which, I’m terribly sorry to 3 certain people in this community for my inability to deliver a promise way sooner due to my broken computer. I have retrieved them, reworked almost from the very beginning, and finished them; 3 masked vigilante characters that I’ll show you in the next posts.
There’s also a lot of shitstorms that’s been going on with my family as well. Which is why I can barely work on anything. But don’t worry, I’m not gonna speak any further about it, everyone has their own problems. Besides, this is supposed to be an introduction post after all, not some sad venting shitpost. I just thought I’d let you know that much so that you know me being on and off is not because I dislike this community.
Maybe I will talk about it sometimes, but only if I get drunk. But, the thing is… I don’t drink.
Speaking of problem, though… I hope you are all doing well and staying safe amidst this COVID-19 pandemic that took over the world like nobody’s business. One moment when I heard Corona Vin Diesel’s favourite beer came to mind, but now it’s something else entirely, and definitely nobody’s favourite.
So, yeah. That’s pretty much my re-introduction post. That’s half as much as I’d like to share about myself, because I like less than half of me half as well as I deserve.
