Logo and branding are one exceptional face or outlook of an organisation that makes it distinctive or different and of course unique and appeals to an emotional side of a potential consumer. Most times, the beauty that comes with a brand is often envisaged in the branding pattern and the beautification of the logo. In public relations one of the most essential thing is having a consumer being endeared to a company or a brand for a long period of time and one of the things that makes this possible is the outlook, the pattern, the design and of course the presentation which you call the packaging. Brand is however the company while the branding is the features that makes up a brand as an entity
Logos by itself is a symbol, an insignia or a symbol which is often affiliated to a brand. For example, the union commercial bank in Nigeria has a logo of galloping horse. The zenith commercial Bank of Nigeria has a logo of the letter "Z" encapsulated in a box and painted red. These logos are graphical and without the initial brand name the logo will become useless however a logo beautifies a brand but a brand is the main reason or need for a logo. So branding is the total process of creating a name, a logo and a symbolism which affiliates or give more information to the public about a company or an organization. So while special attention is put into a branch of branding called logo the process of branding is to show reason we have anything called branding in the first place.
So a company spends a lot of money just for a branding process however let's look hypothetically. How can a company undergo a branding process? An Organization which is new in the market often hit the ground running after they've mapped out a structure, a framework or a guideline through which they mean to function or operate. naming a company includes a process of branding. If for example a beverage company decides to adopt the name Cocolex and in their product they decide to have an oblong container with circular zizag strips in a round bottle or tin it's a process of branding which of course is meant to be a way of affiliating familiarity with the general public consumer. Bournvita and Milo are the two leading beverage companies in Nigeria, while green is affiliated to Milo, purple is affiliated to Bournvita. So the process of choosing one color over another is branding for each of these beverage companies is of course branding.
So naming and logo are the two most important process of branding because the logo attracts the attention of people faster than anything. So in logoing it's imperative to understand that impression matters a whole lot so organisations and brands tries very hard to come up with a logo not only affiliated with their product but can also create an impression in their targeted audience. So even if branding doesn't 100% determine the success of a brand, it makes it have a higher percentage of avoiding a decline stage Much more higher. So in a nutshell logo is part of a branding process but one of the reasons why logo-ing is often referenced a lot is that it's part of branding that's considered as one of the most important aspect to branding
