Abundance.Tribe's BiWeekly Question - What makes you believe one thing more than another?

We live in dangerous times where lies can be fashioned into our reality to look like the truth and we gainfully follow through because we're scared of exploring, researching or discovering what the real truth might be. Would it be palatable? would it be pleasant and not too bitter or rigid for us to process or accept? This is fear. One of the reason why people kill their innate desires to go after the truth and rather consume what's told them is Fear. You see, fear is a powerful too, it can used to manipulate, to bend people to a particular will, limit them to a particular course of action which of course makes them accept what's said on the media, what's said out of the presidential villa and makes them believe absurd things passing off as reality.

What makes people believe one thing over the other?

Like I said earlier in our world nowadays facts are the truth, now never forget that a fact can be fabricated. For example take a look at the court of law in any country. Evidences are what wins cases this is because it's being considered that one's word is not proof and might be full of guile, lacking base or authenticity and of course totally substantial this is also true.

But then when the authenticity of something looks so legitimate and provable we're forced to believe it over something else

In essence, we often forget that something can be fashioned to look like the truth. There's so much conspiracy going on in the world. Some of these conspiracies and propaganda plays with our intelligence, it makes us weigh our scale looking at the black and white angle or perspective to a narrative but then at the end we only forget the world isn't black and white at all.

No one is happy to follow what they're being told it's only that something following what one is being told is the only choice. Seeking for the truth sometimes can be time wasting especially when you're lonely in your quest to seek for the truth. No one likes being lonely, and the moment we discover we're the only candidate seeking for the truth, it dwindles our fire, it quenches the desire and there's this Stage of hopelessness we tend to attain and at the end it threatens our resolve, it numbs our nack to see things rather differently. Now there might be others spending their time looking for the truth like us, but then how do we meet these people? Do they carry placards with the symbol "I'm seeking for the truth?" What if these people are looking for the truth at great peril? Do you think they're equipped to fight against the dark forces that are opaquing the truth?

Needful To Say.....

It's imperative for us to know that we're fighters even if it doesn't seem so, in circumstances where the world is left in the fear of the real truth, unable to face the consequence of being the ones who knows and bears the weight of what we have discovered, we should know that even if it endangers us, knowing the truth is totally liberating. It frees us from a conundrum it sets us free from any sort of unreal reality which we have been subjected to and Irrespective of what we believe, knowing that it isn't the truth will spur us to actions and set us on a course to embrace the innate genuity which we're born with.

We're not zombies and we're born with the ability to discern from good or bad, right or wrong and deep down we shouldn't forget to sieve the things we're told, the orders we receive or the things we're shown that are make believe on national TV or any other medium of communication. We're not free unless we can actually reach deep down and see if what we hear, know and perceive maligns with what our consciousness and conscience agrees with. It's of course tempting to always believe what we see, hear or what's proven to us but then whenever we feel doubt it's important we chase it, go down that road and of course seek that which of course seems the truth to us.
