We are born into this world whole, Everything that we need is already within us , we are perfectly in balance. We begin our lives living each moment mindfully and fully connected to the earth and ourselves.
Being so in touch, results in us feeling things deeply and picking up the energy of others and of the spaces that we inhabit and enter.
We see this all the time with babies, how they can suddenly become upset when a certain person comes near them or if they arrive at a certain place. They are so attuned to their surroundings that they pick up on even the slightest imbalance.
There is no real distinction between the different energies as we see them when we get older, because when we are young everything is accepted just as it is. We do not have the words that so many use to describe them, we understand them from a place of inner knowing, language is not needed. So labels are not required. Our masculine and feminine energies exist in balance side by side, we only know to embrace them.
And then the great unlearning begins. We begin to see division between our own well being, a separation between our physical and spiritual health. We learn to label things, which divide us even more and we are taught to put our trust in others rather than continuing to trust ourselves.
As we progress in life, most of our ‘teachers’ reinforce these ideas and continue to emphasize that the greatest learning comes from others, that everything we need to know has to be taught to us. If we are not careful we begin to lose touch with our intuitive self and with our bodies.
We no longer recognize the signs that our bodies try to communicate with us, we learn to switch off and prioritize other things in life. We are taught that self care is selfish and that we should focus our time and energy on things that are for the greater good. But the greater good of whom?
In this culture of dominance and segregation we are being taught to be dependant on various systems. All of which bring us further away from our true self. We become oppressed and disconnected, yet all of that wisdom still lies within.
We are still whole, we have just become disconnected. So, some of us spend our lives trying to reconnect, to remember, to re-empower ourselves. We have been blinded by the corruption and false narratives. We have been brought to believe that our happiness, our wholeness, is tied in with material wealth. That all we need can be achieved, once we are compliant with the various standards that have been imposed on us.
This has never been more relevant than now. Because we are now being stripped of our freedoms at an alarming rate and so many are unable to see this, because they no longer listen to their intuition, instead they put their faith in the very people who have led to our bodies and our land being poisoned and polluted.
What Does It Mean To Be Whole?
Embracing who we are at any given moment, embracing our need for growth and change. What makes me whole may not be the same for you. Because we are all different, on any given day, we feel different emotions, we react differently. Life affects us all differently!
But becoming aware of this, bringing awareness back to ourselves that is what it means to be whole. All of the energy that we have been told to project outwards, needs to be brought back home! Connecting with our authentic self, which then enables us to bring patterns that have brought us much pain and suffering, which have fuelled our disconnection.
Seeing ourselves as part of the whole, as a part of nature, understanding how our life impacts our environment and taking the steps to rectify that. Remembering who we are and what is really important in life.
So many of us already realized this and many more are beginning to, during this global lock down. Because when our jobs are put on hold and we are forced to stop, we hopefully begin to reflect and see what is really important. Of course there are many who did not and gave into the fear, but we are all at different stages in this transition.
A transition that hopefully brings us back to who we are!
the hollowness,
the weight of all that went before
Hidden inside the dreams
that once lay bare upon the floor
I can not ignore this feeling anymore
this taunting that leaves scars under my skin
the rise and fall
brings me back to the beginning again!
Constant thoughts of disillusion
trapped within this fragment, of who I once was,
carrying my ego on shards of glass
I weep openly now,
as I bow beneath the wings that carried me forth
The light comes rushing in,
I lay blinded by the truth
trying to comprehend
the waves of remorse and broken visions
scattered and discarded
I
Wait!
Drops
fall upon me
recognition bites at my heels
I lie in wait,
I am prepared to create ,
to summon up the many pieces that came undone.
This version of me
this shell that lies upon the floor
it weaves through time and magic
it echos ,
as it never did before!
The many pieces that make up the whole
I am nothing if I do not embrace them all.
