My Reaction to: Treat The Youths Right by Jimmy Cliff
Jimmy Cliff is a well known musician not only in Jamaica but around the world. I grew up hearing his music on the radio and TV, in movies π₯ and on commercials. Iβm encouraged when I see a man of his status use his platform to channel the cry of young people.
From a parentβs perspective I share the sentiments of @dmilliz when he shared some practical points on how we can treat the youths right:
Make the time, play with them, listen to them, encourage them...
I also think that life is a cycle. What goes around comes around. Nothing lasts forever not money π° or power ππ½ or fame ππ». We should treat people the way we would expect to be treated. That includes the young.
So I agree with Jimmy Cliff when he says Treat the Youths Right. If we do that we will have a wonderful world with beautiful people
My #SpreadTheVibes Music Selection: THE PRAYER
The Prayer is a pretty popular duet song with several versions in different languages.
When I listen to the words of The Prayer I hear a request for oneness and safety. The writer, from the onset acknowledges and asks God to watch us, help us, lead us, guide us to a place where weβll be safe.
I pray you'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer
When we lose our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe
The writer continues by praying for a world where there is no pain, sorrow or broken hearts. Finally a prayer for oneness reminding us that we are all children of the creator. I find the fact that this song is typically sung as a duet with beautiful melodies and harmonies so fitting.
Together:
A world where pain and sorrow will be ended
And every heart that's broken will be mended
And we'll remember we are all God's children
Reaching out to touch you
Reaching to the sky
Iβd like to invite HIVE members @missaj and @shanibear to take this challenge. Should you choose to accept this challenge, please see the requirements below for your easy reference.
