Breve Historia
El 10 de mayo de 1942, el Caracas debutó en el campeonato nacional de segunda división, marcando así lo que es considerado como la fecha de nacimiento del Club caraqueño. El Cervecería conquistó con facilidad el torneo sin ceder la victoria en ningún encuentro, y de inmediato fue promovido a la primera división. Esa temporada marcó también el inició de la tradición de los calendarios que repartían los juegos del torneo entre dos años, comenzando en el mes de diciembre y finalizando los primeros meses del año siguiente. Ese año inició la rivalidad más duradera del deporte venezolano, la de Caracas-Magallanes, fenómeno histórico que cada año nos regala el motivo perfecto para unirnos entre bromas, chalequeos, alegrías históricas y tristezas momentáneas. Sin embargo, el León es el Rey.
Brief History
On May 10, 1942, Caracas debuted in the second division national championship, thus marking what is considered the birth date of the Caracas Club. The Brewery easily conquered the tournament without giving up the victory in any game, and was immediately promoted to the first division. That season also marked the beginning of the tradition of the calendars that distributed the games of the tournament between two years, beginning in the month of December and ending the first months of the following year. That year began the longest-running rivalry in Venezuelan sport, that of Caracas-Magallanes, a historical phenomenon that every year gives us the perfect reason to unite between jokes, jackets, historical joys and momentary sadness. 1947-48
El primer título del Caracas en la Liga Venezolana de Beisbol Profesional fue frente al equipo de Venezuela. El 21 de febrero de 1948 se anotó el triunfo con pizarra de 5 carreras por 3.
1948-49
En un "todos contra todos", el Caracas BBC se tituló en la liga frente a Magallanes, equipo al que superó 13 carreras por 9. Posteriormente, sería el primer equipo que representaría a Venezuela en una Serie del Caribe de la cual quedó subcampeón.
1951-52
Con la superioridad de siempre, el Caracas "paseó" este torneo y, tras establecer una marca de triunfos consecutivos de 17, con récord de 41 triunfos y 15 derrotas permitiendo adueñarse del título, su tercero en la historia de la LVBP.
1952-53
Pese a que no hubo final, el juego matador fue una victoria frente al Vargas 8x3, donde el pitcher norteamericano Dick Starr con 9 innings, 4 ponches, y Chico Carrasquel de 3-1 con 2 empujadas fueron los héroes.
1956-57
El conjunto sólo necesitó de cinco partidos para despachar a los Industriales de Valencia en la final y logrando un nuevo título.
1961-62
Caracas se apoderó de su nuevo título al vencer al equipo Oriente en una final que se disputó a 5 juegos y en la cual los lanzadores fueron protagonistas. El refuerzo Bob Belinsky contribuyó en grande al ganar el primero y el decisivo encuentro, mientras que Sherman Jones y Víctor Davalillo se anotaron los otros 2 triunfos en trabajos completos.
1963-64
Otro título dónde la carrera del triunfo se produjo en el décimo episodio, cuando Hilario Valdespino encontró las bases llenas y sacudió un inatrapable para decretar el triunfo felino.
1966-67
Esta serie se decidió en el quinto y último juego, uno de los más inolvidables en la historia del béisbol venezolano. Luego de cinco entradas La Guaira ganaba 7-0. En la parte baja del quinto, Caracas se acercó al marcar cuatro carreras. Los Tiburones ripostaron al marcar una más para dejar el desafío 8-4, pero en la segunda mitad del séptimo Caracas volteó la pizarra con grand slam de Paulino Casanova -colocó la pizarra 9-8- y otro vuelacerca de Dave Roberts. Caracas ganó a la Guaira 16 por 9.
1967-68
Así sucedieron las cosas, luego de que los Tigres perdieran ante los Industriales 2-1. En el extra y decisivo, el cubano Diego Seguí subió a la lomita para espaciar diez inatrapables y darle al Caracas el triunfo de 5-3.
1972-73
Con Víctor Davalillo, César Tovar, Gonzalo Márquez, Jesús Marcano Trillo, Joe Ferguson, Dagoberto Campaneris y Dave Lopes al bate y el pitcheo de Diego Seguí, Eduardo Acosta y Ed Sprague, los Leones sacudieron al Zulia.
1977-78
Leones del Caracas se enfrentó de nuevo a Zulia en la final y aunque hubo hechos curiosos en la serie, los capitalinos llegaron a un séptimo juego en el que el zurdo Pablo Torrealba blanqueó a las Águilas.
1979-80
En una temporada realmente especial para Baudilio Díaz y su marca de más jonrones en una temporada (20), Caracas ganó el primero de sus tres títulos consecutivos.
1980-81
Por segunda vez, Caracas se llevó una corona en dos temporadas seguidas. Los melenudos ganaron sus juegos viniendo de atrás. A pa grande este equipo.
1981-82
El triunfo en esta final marcó la conquista del tercer banderín consecutivo para los Leones, un logro sin precedentes en la historia del béisbol venezolano. Caracas eliminó en cinco partidos a los Cardenales de Lara, su rival de las 2 ocasiones anteriores.
1986-87
La Guaira había derrotado al Caracas en la final anterior, pero los Leones se desquitaron de una gran forma, al barrer a los escualos y finalizar con un no hit no run de Urbano Lugo. Historia tras historia.
1987-88
Con ventaja y de vuelta al estadio Universitario, los Leones se impusieron 7 carreras por 3 gracias a jonrón de tres carreras de Antonio Armas y destacado pitcheo de Ubaldo Heredia. Nuevamente, Caracas sumó dos títulos consecutivos, gesta lograda por tercera vez en su historia.
1989-90
Caracas batió por cuarta ocasión a Lara en una final, aunque en esta oportunidad necesitó llegar hasta el séptimo encuentro.
1994-95
Omar Vizquel fue el héroe de esta serie final que empezó en Maracaibo.
2005-06
La gran revancha se dio. Si bien Leones del Caracas perdió el primer juego ante Tigres de Aragua en Maracay, los campeones se recuperaron completamente para aniquilar a sus rivales felinos en los 5 juegos siguientes.
2009-2010
Título de leyenda, se enfrentaron los "Eternos rivales" del beisbol profesional venezolano, la final inició con dos victorias de Magallanes en su patio. Luego, los Leones pudieron igualar la serie en el Universitario, al disputar un cuarto juego de película en el que el refuerzo Gregor Blanco (Más Valioso), con estacazo empató en el noveno inning, con dos outs, ante los envíos de Francisco Rodríguez. Otro vuelacercas de Jackson Melián pondría las cifras definitivas.

Caracas' first title in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League was against the Venezuelan team. On February 21, 1948 the victory was scored with a scoreboard of 5 runs by 3.
1948-49

La Guaira had defeated Caracas in the previous final, but the Lions retaliated in a great way, by sweeping the sharks and ending with a no-hit no run from Urbano Lugo. Story after story.
1987-88
With the advantage and back at the University Stadium, the Lions won 7 runs for 3 thanks to a three-run homer by Antonio Armas and outstanding pitching by Ubaldo Heredia. Once again, Caracas added two consecutive titles, a feat achieved for the third time in its history.
1989-90
Caracas beat Lara for the fourth time in a final, although this time they needed to reach the seventh match.
1994-95
Omar Vizquel was the hero of this final series that began in Maracaibo.
2005-06
The great rematch occurred. While Leones del Caracas lost the first game to Tigres de Aragua in Maracay, the champions recovered fully to annihilate their feline rivals in the next 5 games.
2009-2010
