Hello Hive
How interesting it is to have found this initiative ,I saw this on a friends blog and even without prior invitation I decided to join the initiative and make my first post in the community.
There she sat in a corner of their living room and having have completed all the basic requirements of studies and earned herself some well deserved certificate in education, the question of what next hangs around me so heavily.
The days were slowly passing and its obvious that boredom and idleness are beginning to dig dip into her skin.
Walking from the living room to the kitchen in search for nothing in particular and then back to the living room again which stood not so furnished except for the pictures on the wall, a reality of her past and how her family lives has been like over the years.
Even pictures could talk, they were meant to light up the living room with some colors but even at a single glance one can tell that life hasn't been so beautiful, the outfits on the pictures weren't attractive enough, a typical life of anyone living around a poverty line.
Something has to change and for that to happen she has to get a job, something to fetch her good sum and raise the standard of living in that house.
The qualifications are right in her hands but there is still a limitation.
The government has not gotten enough resource to go round for its citizens and the competition to get a job placement is quite high.
Even with the highest qualification and appealing CV, noting was forth coming.
Something has to change, who is going to foot the bills, dad is retired and mum who has often feed the family through her subsistent farming is no more.
In order to keep hunger away for that year she took to farming after her momma and tilled the ground.
At least there was food on the table, rice, beans and corn.
But that's not all the house rent has to be paid, the children's school fees and other bill, there must be a source of income, money was needed and the farm produce weren't large enough to pay these bills, they could only put food on the table.
(My rice farms)
This lingered for 3 years, the toiling, lack and need but she was sleeping and waking everyday to this reality.
Applying for a teaching job, cleaner and other menial jobs around will not help the situation, the peanut pay is frustrating compared to the tedious work been done and she was careful and looking out her health, a stressful job would mean that whe will be in and out of the hospital everyday. This was not an option as there was not even an ounce passion for teaching.
Maybe learning a skill will be better and in no time she can become an entrepreneur and have her own brand. Ventured into fashion designing, but the training fees and practical materials were getting more expensive she cannot afford. That was placed on a hold as well

And the question of what next kept hovering around after each idea to try something that could help her financial state. She wasn't lazy at any point but luck was never on her side.
Her fortune was about to change
It happened so fast, she meet a friend of hers also a hiver who was about a year on the blockchain, sensing her creativity and needs felt that the hive would be of positive impact for her.
She helped her get aboard and took her through the dos and dont including avoiding plagiarism.
She was blessed in those early days with daily whales upvote that came handy to pay the children's school fees, house rent and other bills.
Hive was a safe financial haven.
That wasn't all, every income on hive was meant to foot the bills, totally ignorant of the other opportunities on hive, she sold almost 7k liquid hive in the past years which she now has some form of regrets.
They were sold when hive was below a dollar, mostly around $0.1-0.5 of its price.
7k hive would have meant alot of money now and probably taken her and her family to some level of financial stability, but she there was no other choice back then and hive kept her family from going stranded.
Such a relief, thank you hive. 🙏
That was the reality of my life without hive and I can't imagine what it would have been like if I never joined the blockchain
Things have changed ever since, I have learnt how to stake more hive and prepare for a promising future and most probably how an investment on hive can bring me the financial stability I so much desired.
Although I had since been searching for online jobs and other easier physical job offers that can compliment my hive income. A multiple stream of income would do some good.
I am still a farmer till date it has put food on my table every year and the quest to acquire more fashion skill is still on.
Am not sure what I will venture into eventually or what brand I will make of all these things I have dipped my hands into...
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you had a good read.
I invite the pleasure of @bimpcy, @femcy-willcy and @vickoly to participate in this initiative.
