Hive Creators Day - Journey and Recap 2022 ! A year of achievements

So far, we have been part of face-to-face events in different regions of Venezuela, with projections to reach other locations. Before highlighting our achievements in 2022, we would like to share a little of the history that unites us.

Our History

Hive Creators Day is a project that emerged to promote the use of the Hive blockchain to emerging creators and empower existing creators on the platform to get more people to join Hive and build on it.

• Our journey started with a small team of great enthusiasts who are passionate and committed to strengthening Hive and came together to take our first steps.

• September 28th, 2021, project launch: Days later, we launched our first digital event with the support of @eddiespino, @enrique89, @ilazramusic as Host, @samgiset leading and with the support of @theycallmedan. This was the first Hive Creators Day developed digitally; along with this project; we launched the Hive Creators Awards, an awards event where Hivers nominate their favorite creators, communities, and apps.

• Next, the first Hive Creators Day was held in person in El Tigre, Venezuela, the first Hive event after the pandemic and the first face-to-face meeting of the Hive community in Latam. This event included a face-to-face event for 20 people and a post-event in a coffee shop, giving birth to the concept of Hive Creators Coffee, and friendly meetings on the premises to talk about Hive. We had the support of @fedesox from Olio the Valena, Juliak from @nftshowroom, 3speak, Theyacallmedan, and community contributions such as those sent by @mballesteros. Thanks for believing!

These foundations were the basis to later empower creators and hold events in different parts of Venezuela and other countries.

2022

This year came with enthusiasm, with the desire to achieve greater community connection, and that is what we did in the community through every effort that step by step has borne fruit; this has filled us with much experience, learning, lessons, and a desire to improve every day.

This is how we started...

APRIL 2022 | We launched Hive Creators Day, Venezuela Tour .

A set of events that would help connect Hive's community of creatives and users interested in joining the Hive blockchain. Where we found our main Venezuelan leaders in key cities of the country.

MAY 05 | Hive Creators Day Valencia, Venezuela

In this event, we had as hosts @soy-laloreto and @victoriabsb; in this meeting, we achieved the attendance of more than 20 people, and we gave away the first POA a courtesy of Juliak from NFT showroom.

JUNE 04 | Hive Creators Day Maracaibo, Venezuela

The event in the city of Maracaibo was as enjoyable as productive, with 25 attendees; this was possible thanks to the relations of our Host: @arlettemsalase also managed to raffle 3 Platzi scholarships in the area of blockchain and an important talk in the cryptologist's community in Telegram.

JUNE 18 | Hive Creators Day Barquisimeto, Venezuela

This event was hosted by @zullyscott in an Antiacafe, an interesting place in the city, where we made payments for the first time in HBD for a Hive Creators Day that covered the use of the space and the enjoyment of delicious refreshments for the participants. This day we made the event trend on twitter with the tag #HiveCDBqto thanks to the active social networks and full of a photographic memory of the best moments.

Meetings like these allow us to make visible other possibilities beyond the blog and more than 30 participants were able to meet other Hive potentials, connect, meet and build special moments together.

JULY 03 | Hive Creators Day Cantaura, Venezuela

The event was held in the small town of Cantaura, in eastern Venezuela. With a participation of 38 attendees, it was an educational meeting with @ferbu as organizer, under the support and suggestion of @guiltyparties.

AUGUST 06 | Hive Creators Coffee Lechería, Venezuela

At a meeting in one of the most striking cities in the Anzoátegui State of Venezuela, we had the support of @lunaticanto to organize this activity and project ideas for community development in the area.

SEPTEMBER 2022 | Hive Creators Awards 2022

An online event to award creators in Hive, content creators, developers, and applications. There were more than 150 users connected simultaneously, living exciting moments and recognizing to the value of the mutual contribution of the community with their talents and innovations.

We reached the end of the year, and to close in the best way, we launched an initiative for the community to organize self-sustaining events; although we supported mainly in the printing of some stickers for the promotion of Panel at Christmas, the community was dedicated to hold meetings with the joy of this month that not only served to share, but also to evaluate this year and set new goals for 2023, a total of 8 events were held in these in various cities, such as: Barquisimeto, Caracas, Monagas, Maracaibo, Valencia, El tigre and Lechería with the participation of at least 90 hivers in mobilization in all events.

Highlights

A promising new year begins

2023 will be a great year for Colmena's growth, especially for its community value and all the opportunities that many people with diverse talents will be able to continuously take advantage of and add their contributions to Colmena.

We will continue to bet on online and in-person events that make it easier to know every update of the ecosystem, exchange ideas and build together the Hive blockchain we want, always from the contribution to all the challenges we have as a community.
