Why do I write a radio show?
Because I can and wanted to do have my own show for many years!
But cut the crap and let´s get this trip moving.
Hey ho, not sure if this was a test for what later became Snow(Hey Oh) but it definitely has that Frusciante flavor. Damn this is one sick tune to start tonight´s trip.

That song is from the 2003 road movie The Brown Bunny. I probably never watch the movie but that soundtrack is gold.
John wasn´t F´ed up when he wrote this song, but he was tripping on the edge for years. So glad someone up there decided that not all talented musicians have to die young.
Peter Raffoul - F***ed Up Together
Now that guy is so new to the music scene that there was not even a wiki on him when I wrote this, he just released an EP, and well if it´s up to me he can release many more. But as he is been doing things that are bad for him, to make him feel better.... he might just disappear.
This band seems to never disappear, I keep forgetting how good they are till all of a sudden a new song pops into my ear and I go....no not DCD, they must be dead by now. This one is just nice and trippy and I want you to sit back dear reader and enjoy this musical trip with me tonight.... like opium.

Bliss - Wish You Were Here
No, I did not forget to write, but just start Bliss with Wish 15 seconds before Opium ends and keep tripping- The only thing wrong with this song is that it has the same title as that beautiful little Pink Floyd pearl.
But not tonight, I don´t miss her so much that I need to wish she was here twice.
Still Corners - The Trip
This song by Still Corners I discovered by listening to a very talented guy that did an amazing piano cover of this song.
Now don´t ask me about this next song, I just tripped over it and couldn´t let it go. This is just next level, it´s pulp fiction cool.

But where to go if you just played the perfect song?
Well, anywhere is better than now here so "hey Ho let´s go! Let´s just keep tripping, where we go nobody knows." But we are not going home for now dear reader.

believe it or not but I am pumped, which means I miss my normal sense of melancholy a bit....
So let me fix it. Nothing better than a well-composed cover from a long-forgotten movie, that actually was quite good, to bring back that little hunted feeling..... I mean Halloween is around the corner.
Emily Browning - Sweet Dreams
Back in the days when I was still popular, I used to try to build up to a climax or anti-climax to end a gig. The anti shouldn´t be used too often, but it´s used to leave your audience unsatisfied and wanting more so they come back soon.
Humans in general prefer being satisfied, although as an artist you want the to come back. Now I will try to satisfy you tonight dear reader, but I also want you to come back. So feel free to leave a comment saying "Great show, please tag me" if you want to be added to the Tag list.

Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.
My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.
Who the fluff am I?
Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years....Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
