Now this one is simply genius, what an awesome tune is this. Linkin Park meets Massive Attack. Now this seems to be from an awesome K Drama series, but I doubt if it can match this tune.

Another multi-trick pony is Tom Morello, this guy has been around the rock block but this is another streak of genius I only came across a couple of months ago. Late to the Tom party as always.

That song smells like the old days, but can´t stay stuck in the past we will trip into a slightly more modern sound. Might become a bit much for the lighter crowd but I you get your tunes next week.
They can work a bit on the lyrics, but that vinyl crack is an awesome hook and okay his voice is pretty chilling.
NO NAME FACES - SILENCE
I had some doubts about adding Ghostkid to the list, they are pretty screamo or whatever the label is nowadays. The intro is what pulled me in, but what convinced me is the how they mixed the audio putting the voice on top of the guitars instead of hiding it in the heavy guitar rain.
GHØSTKID - Heavy Rain
Again a lovely intro, heavy guitars but this time there was no doubt, even though they might want to get a better producer as the audio can do with a bit more density. But this song is going everywhere Evanesence eat your heart out.
KILL FOR NOTHING - HEAL
Is that the 2023 sound? Opening with a lovely little intro then adding a bunch of loud guitars and only then start the actual song. It´s returning theme tonight, that´s for sure. Now for those who know me, you get my attention if it includes Harley (Q) so when I found this song I found d Volturian. They have a slightly more poppy sound compared to most female semi-goth symfo metal bands and it makes it stand out.

Yes, I don´t think poppy is a dirty word, and so does Sophie. This song has everything that hair metal used to have even the hair...but guess this is showing that you don´t need to be a guy to make power pop rock songs with lots of hair and guitars.

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.
Who the fluff am I?
Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years...Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
