Do you know that feeling, that you have to do something.....but can´t quite remember what?
This story is just that.
I remember being told to write it but I can´t remember what I was supposed to tell you. What I do know is that everything I am going to tell you really happened, even though it may unbelievable sometimes.
Hit Rewind to start from Chapter One
Chapter 8
I am still sitting on my bed, the room only had one chair and that was occupied by clothing most of the time. The little one who just visited me fell asleep after having a bit of chocolate.
This is so weird, this whole event made my brain feel like it´s been inside a pressure cooker for too long. The thing that keeps popping up in the mushy stew that once was my brain is fact she said "They".
The other thing is...what the hell just happened?
Have I been tripping, was this a flashback? And if this was real, how would I explain this to the person I love?
I decided not to mention anything, how could I, what should I say:
"Sweetie, guess what? It seems you have some other person living in your body."
No thank you, I could not even imagine how she would react, or how I would react when someone would tell me that.
This was one crazy episode that was best forgotten. But no, if it should have been forgotten it probably would have never happened. Life has this eery quality to make sure you don´t forget those things that it´s trying to teach you.
It must have been a week or so since my brilliant idea of not saying anything and acting like nothing happened was put into action.
Just when I was starting to forget all about it, someone else thought it was time for a friendly reminder and chocolate.
As I came down from the kitchen Dani was sitting at the edge of the bed yawning and wobbling with her feet. Then she looks up, the yawning stops, and a big smile is facing me.
Part of me feels the earth crumbling beneath my feet, as this means I really have to deal with this. What I did not expect is that there is another part that is happy to see this immense smile.
She was a little shy that first time around, but not anymore. This time the kid is turning out to be a real chatterbox. I need to distance myself a couple of times. Stepping back and observing this situation. This is not normal, even though it feels absolutely fine and completely natural.
She is telling me about Mr. Angle (the ex-boyfriend), and how he sometimes caught a glimpse of her, about the dog Cabron and how she loves him so much.
This little one definitely is not a one-time apparition, she knows about everyone and everything. It gets really peculiar when she tells me that she is going to school. As I know that Dani has not seen a school from the insight for at least three years.
How could she be in school?
I mean it made sense, she was a kid and at her age school would be the normal thing. Until I got a little idea of the kind of classes she was getting.
She never made it clear who exactly attended that school but it was clear there were multiple "people" joining those classes. The classes were given by a lady she called She. She does not teach math, or geography. Science would be the label that comes closest, but not your average type of science, this was definitely weird science.
The classes were out of the ordinary, but the strangest thing is that I am sitting here, talking to some sort of little girl that took over my girlfriend, and I am happily enjoying this chat. It does not upset me in any way, now that can´t be normal, right?
How does one react when facing someone else in the body of the person you married? I have absolutely no clue, no reference to this of any sort. Would that mean that our responses are nurtured and when confronted with a highly unlikely scenario like this we just take it as it comes, or was there more to it?
Was I meant to feel this at ease talking to this little bodysnatcher?
