This is a quick how to on a dining table design.
Finished design
About the design
When moving to my new apartment I needed a dining table. I had some leftover glulam and metal shelving so I thought to try and design my own table. In the end this table took about 2 hours to make from first idea to a finished product. I enjoy industrial and rough, maybe even temporary look.
Supplies needed
Build process itself is pretty self explanatory. Glulam is cut in desired dimensions and connected using srews and steel corner braces. Glulam is nice choice for temporary projects since its light, cheap and fast to cut even without power tools.
I enjoy using this table. Originally it was meant to be temporary but it's been in use for 3 years now. The metal shelf as a tabletop is pretty practical. All the breadcrumbs etc. fall on floor and pretty much no cleaning of the table itself is needed :)
