Hi Steemians! This is the second part of "How to play Chess". After learning the basics rules you must differentiate tactics and strategies. Although these two concepts are related, we need to distinguish between both.
The Strategy
Before starting a game, you have to represent you the battle plan, the type of approach you will adopt. This is a long-term vision of the game will progress.
The Tactics
Tactics to defend from the sporadic attacks of the enemy but also to achieve our long-term strategy. These are short-term technicals

In conclusion, we can say that the strategy is the art of organizing and leading a chess while the tactical part is rather the art of directing the battle or the means employed to successfully overcome his opponent. So, the strategy will instead focus on the planning side while the tactical operational side So always keep in mind that the two are distinct but yet they remain totally inseparable since no effective tactic exist without the development of a coherent and consistent strategy that no strategy can successful without the implementation of effective tactics.
Protect Your King!
To defend his king rather effectively, the rules of chess gives us a very important technique to know and use: CASTLING. You MUST know this move!
The Forks (la fourchette)
The most classic technique than any chess player has to put into practice, no matter his level of play remains the fork. It consist to place a piece in a place where threatens both simultaneously.

This kind of multiple attack is particularly interesting since it guarantees you to win a piece on the next move, unless of course your opponent reaches you to checkmate.
The Pin (Le clouage)

Scholar's mate (Le coup du berger)
